HR King - Just Say

Firstly, HR King's - Just Say. I had a friend recommend this to me - My thoughts were summarised as follows: "HOLY FUCKING GOD. THIS IS EPIC! In my head I had like a rootsy/bluesy thing. SO WRONG! THIS IS AMAZING. ♥ Epic chorus, amazing beat, very Eurovision. LOVE IT!". That probably sums things up really well :P I don't know a lot about him - Anybody?

Radio Ink - Rocket

My equal favourite up-and-coming Australian band (with Mojada :P) Radio Ink are back with a BLISTERING new single and video. Rocking a Gwen Stefani look, and a synthy 80's inspired indie-pop track, this is a brilliant new piece, available on iTunes now. Much <3

Katy Perry Feat. Missy Elliot

A fun update of the song, with a brand new intro and feature. It's not a huge change, but it's good nonetheless. I do enjoy. Available on iTunes here.

One of pop music's single greatest up and coming artists, Neil Sullivan, has just released his follow up to the absolutely epic piece of pure dance-pop perfection that is Building An Army, with the show-stopping, lifechangingly amazing track that is Till There's Nothing Left. Tim Blaine - You Can't Go Back

Aside from being absolutely gorgeous, and a total sweetheart with gorgeous handwriting, Tim Blaine makes amazing music. And I mean amazing. Recently released, his brand new album You Can't Go Back is a bit of singer-songwriter folk-tinged pop with an amazing vibe. A flawless vocal and just amazing vibe. Impossible to describe, but Tim's delivered a flawless collection of tracks here. More of just a heads-up, Michael Hensley is very lovely, and an up and coming electro pop artist from Boston who's made some fantastic music of his available on his SoundClound page (widget above). I'm crushing hard on the electro-pop beat and bassline of You Don't Own Me a lot at the moment. Thumping stuff with an amazing sound. I love it. Similar in vein to the work of Tim Blaine and Lana Grant, who i'll talk about later...Mark Radcliffe makes awesome guitar/piano singer-songwriter pop with a gorgeous vocal, amazing lyric, fantastically touching sound that's just impossible to describe. Straight Up! - Show The World Tonight:

I honestly can't tell you how much I adore the sexy boys from Straight Up enough. I think pretty much everything they put their name to is bound to be epic, fun, sexy and just very very fantastic. Show The World Tonight is no different. A darker, synthy, thumpy number with a GORGEOUS chorus - Impossible to go past. The best part? It's the Stockholm Pride 2011 Track. So much love. Lana Grant - Non-Fiction

Back to the singer-songwriters, Lana Grant is the absolutely gorgeous independent singer-songwriter, who aside from taking amazingly gorgeous marketing photos makes some amazing music. Aftermath is one of the show-pieces of the new album, Non Fiction, and it's hard to get past. Have a look at the live video above and tell me the girl isn't one impressive songstress. Boy Banned - Summer Rain:

And last but not least, an amazing track from the boys of Boy Banned, one of the greatest up and coming dance-pop boy bands. Amazing lyrics, fantastic vibe, and what amounts to a sexy guy wet T-shirt contest, how do you go wrong? Gorgeous synths...Amazing stuff.

Kyle Brylin - Telephoto Lens

#phwoar. Everytime I see Kyle, that's my first thought. Just sayin. Now that's out of my system...

An awesomely exciting brand new track! - I've had a chance, thanks to an amazingly awesomely fantastically brilliantly better-than-life-itsself friend and close supporter to give the brand new Kyle track, Telephoto Lens, a listen, with the awesome cover designed by another amazing friend, and It is AWESOME.

The track is a glitchy, synthy, Britney-esque piece with an amazing vibe, and a chorus that worms its way into your head for days and days. It's hard to go past. I love it so so much, and I really wish it gets some love from the public. Kick ass gritty synths too. Much love.

Ballroom Remixed

Just a heads up to you all - I'm going to be trialling something a bit smaller review wise - Just more an 'extended tweet' type thing. Life has got insanely busy, and I just haven't had a chance to catch up and take care of myself, let alone here....But rest assured - I'm still a pop lover. Hope all of you are well?

This disc is quite an eclectic and exciting collection of uptempo songs specifically designed to suit the dancefloor. It's an awesome collection, with an amazing bunch of up and coming artists, all of whom are some of the brightest talents upcoming.

A few personal favourites? You can't go past Kyle Brylin's AMAZING I'm A Man (Not A Piece Of Meat)....which I like to think is almost a little ironic ;). Lee Latchford Evans' piece is amazing and demonstrates his GORGEOUS vocal. Out Without Your Boyfriend is a fantastic intro piece to the disc to get everyone dancing. Elouise brings her amazing vocal to bear on The Lovers' Rumba (Nice to hear her do something uptempo), and Simon Curts is just brilliant. Joshua Dejardins' Melanie (Dontcha Make Her Dance Alone) is also epic.

Gorgeous song and lyric craft too. All around amazing stuff.

SWEPOP BONANZA! - Dessie, Danny & Freja

To mark my return to my returned blogging - I've got a few Swedish Gems for you today - I'd love to know your thoughts!

Dessie - Watcha Got

Gorgeous blogger turned songstress Dessie has received a mixed reception for her brand-new single "Watcha Got" with some loving it, and some comparing her to the 'Rebecca Black of Sweden' (Which I don't think is a bad thing to be honest :P). The track is produced by Trinity, responsible for work with Agnes, The Veronicas and The Pussycat Dolls. The song is a well-produced dance/pop piece with a great bassline and a real sexy-sass about it. And an amazing chorus. Her vocal is strangely charming, and the video is gorgeous, had a bit of money spent on it...is classy and gorgeous, and to be honest - I'm a fan. Possibly controversial, but thoughts?

Danny & Freja - If Only You:

Swedish Eurodance god Danny has decided to re-record and prepare his hit "If Only You" for a UK audience. Although I think his music is flawless as is, I think it's absolute travesty that he's re-recorded this track in a third version. I adore the original, and Therese is amazing, I think it would have made a fine single release. Anyways, moving along.

Be warned: That's the explicit version of the video (Only a breast here and there, and some darker S&M themes). Musically, Freja's vocal is fantastic, Danny's is flawless, and the UK edit isn't too different to the original to be annoying, but a little less Europop, and a little more modern, and synthier. Which I enjoy. I don't get the video's relationship to the song, but I actually enjoy it to be honest. It's sexy, dark, moody, dirty and gritty...Much adoration. Plus Danny gets his shirt off...

Also, a beautiful acoustic version of the track, with lyrics, has been made, featuring the awesome single cover, which is pretty cool. Video is above. The track is due for release on July 10th, and I hope this is included in the bundle. I'd love to know your thoughts.

I want to start by echoing my sincerest and deepest apologies to the team behind this review to make it possible, I've had this CD here for such a long time, and just a complete and utter inability to be able to review it before today. For that, I apologise. I hope this review does it some kind of justice!

Rumer's work isn't something that had come to my attention before giving this CD a listen and review. Her music is a chilled, soulful, jazzy balladry to challenge any Adele or Norah Jones out there. Her music is gorgeous, she is stunningly beautiful and her vocal is fantastic. The International Edition of her debut album, Seasons Of My Soul is, to be frank, stunning. Here's my track-by-track thoughts.

Am I Forgiven kicks proceedings off, with it's lovely jazzy beat, amazing vocal, and just beautiful flow, the track has a real sophistication and class about it that I really enjoy. It makes me feel classy. Beautiful, light, flowy...Gorgeous way to kick the album off. Come To Me High is a romantic, beautiful, delicate ballad with amazing instrumentation that I could imagine working in a smokey bar, but also in a loungeroom, bedroom or serenaded to a lucky someone. It's beautiful, it's tender, it's sweet. My only issue is that it just doesn't quite 'go' anywhere? It's pretty, but just not quite amazing. Slow however is absolutely amazing. A gorgeous introduction, delicate instrumentation, a beautiful lyric....It's a fantastic love ballad, and I just adore it. Take Me As I Am comes along next, and it's the first absolute perfect moment on the disc. Delicate, beautiful, sophisticated, classy, strong but tender, it's just flawless....A rare moment of perfection, I don't rarely hear amazingness like this....Just fantastic stuff...I'm struggling for words to describe how beautiful this is. Then comes Aretha, which heads more into the jazzy/cabaret style of things. Fantastic stuff. Gorgeous, delicate, painful, and heartbreaking all at once, it's a swirling mass of emotion. The only thing is that I just can't quite 'feel' it like I can some of the others...Nice, but not fantastic. Until you hit the final stages of the song, it's AMAZING.

Saving Grace opens with a bluesy harmonica over a more 'uptempo' soulful beat. It's smooth, gorgeous, a fantastic story, the kind of CD I'd play in a bar during the day if I owned one. It's gorgeous, light, flowey and a beautiful love song...absolutely fantastic stuff. I can't describe how amazing it is. Thankful keeps the tradition of gorgeousness going and a delicate, stripped-back, just Rumer-plus-piano ballad, and I can't actually think of anything that could make this song more perfect. It's gorgeous, beautiful, tender, and Rumer's raspy but gorgeous vocal is just flawlessly on display right now. It's amazing stuff. Hard to describe how fantastic it is. Beautiful. Healer keeps the beautiful stuff coming. Opening with a beautiful violin intro, the track slides into a classy, amazing epic...Although it's less melodic than the previous, it's still fantastic, and I'm really enjoying it. Awesome stuff. <3 Blackbird comes along next, and its a return to the classy soul/jazz of earlier, and it's great. A delicate, beautiful number I can just visualise so fantastically. It's gorgeous, and could easily become a fantastic number much love for this. It's sleepy, it's gorgeous, and it's just fantastic.

On My Way Home blends the soul/jazz that characterises most of the album, with a gorgeous rootsy undertone. With a particularly amazing vocal, and beautiful lyric, it's hard to go past the amazing piece of absolute flawlessness that is this song. I adore this oh so much. Such love. I adore this. Goodbye Girl, the video in the track above, moves back into the style of Am I Forgiven, a more 'uptempo' hybrid that would soundtrack a beautiful bar. It's a perfect showpiece of Rumer's beautiful vocal, and a gorgeous lyric and vibe, it's hard to go past, because it's just so amazing. It's flawless and just damn beautiful. Hard to go past, it's a showpiece of the album. Alfie comes along next, and it's a gorgeous Broadway-esque ballad that's just fantastic. Amazing stuff, I adore this. It's light, relaxed and just fantastic. Much love here for this. Gorgeous, but not quite as fantastic as some of the others on the disc. Disc closer is the beautiful It Might Be You (Theme From Tootsie). Tender, amazing strings, beautiful, It's the sound Rumer nails, and absolutely shines in on the album. I adore it. Hard to go past, but it's beautiful. Amazing stuff....Rumer just sounds amazing. <3

Bastille - Flaws/Icarus - Review

So, just a relatively short, but not unimportant post today. I'll tell you its because I need time to ease myself into this, but its actually because I'm rather obsessed with a playlist I've made (Heavy on the new Wynter Gordon album) and want to keep listening to that. However that would also be a lie, it's because I'm still run off my feet busy (How I love my life - It keeps me interested, and I thrive on it), and the site has fallen to the bottom of the list (around with ironing, and tidying). So again, my apologies. Plus, this CD of mine was partly transparent, and as a result, deserves special recognition and love.

Bastille is the name of a new band (Sharing a name with the Castle stormed in 1789 in the Early French Revolution - Apologies, my head's always in Uni mode), who've just unleased a double A-side AMAZING debut single on the world of quirky, slightly underground electronic pop. Think French Horn Rebellion :) The single Flaws/Icarus is due for release on July 4th (OMG! Ahead of the game this time!). FLAWS by BASTILLE

I'm loving Flaws something ridiculous. It's a fantastically synthy, gloriously pop number that's also awesome indie at the same time. Dan's vocal has something absolutely compelling and intoxicating about it which, although taking getting used to, is absolutely glorious. Fantastic story told in the lyrics, with a gorgeous chorus..The track is a layered, immensely, dimense combination of a bouncey beat, with a bunch of electronic clicks and beeps, and it makes for a FANTASTIC number, with a great vibe, and I really want to hear more from him, like right now.

icarus by BASTILLE

Although not the track 'headlining' the pair, I muchly prefer Icarus actually. It's a relentless, jungle-esque epic-indie-pop number with a fantastic, amazing beat, Dan's vocal in a flawless, actually brilliant number, and it's an epic piece, with such tension and flawlessness. Impossible to describe, but you fall in love straight away, particularly with that chorus. It's like what I wish (and know) Coldplay could be? If that makes any sense? Amazing. Epic. Impossible to describe with more than a <3. Great stuff.

Triple J Hottest 100 CD 2011 (Vol. 18) - Reviewed!

I'd like to start this review, my first in a few months, with a heartfelt apology to all of you. firstly, to my contacts - I apologise deeply for my inability to blog for you in the last few months - Hell, I've had this CD here since March! University and life has been absolutely hectic, and I've just not had a chance, or the energy, to do anything! Sincere apologies. As for all of you, my dearest readers - My apologies also, I have missed you, and I URGE you to add me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter as a chance to stay in contact!

SO! Imma get my indie on and review the Triple J 2011 Hottest 100 CD today for you all - Well, highlights of it anyways. For those of you who don't know, around Australia Day every year, in January, Triple J - Australia's more 'underground' less commercial station, rather popular with youth, take votes and do a public countdown of the biggest 100 tracks in Australia. Now, the crowd on Triple J is usually a little more alternative/indie, and as much as I tried.....Kylie didn't get a shoe-in..Alas, these things happen. Tis true that this music is beyond my usual style, so bear with me, there are some strong numbers on here! This is the kind of stuff I'm pressured to like as a teenager in Australia guys, so have mercy! It's an interesting look into the mentality of Australia's youth - I'm hardly familiar with their music, but here you go.

No at a glance this time - cause I'm cherry-picking!

Let's start with Number 1 on the playlist - Angus & Julia Stone's Big Jet Plane. I can deal with this. It's a sweet, indie-pop delight, with, although less than amazing vocals for me, it's a pretty listen, with a great melody that does get stuck in your head! Disc 2 closes with an equally gorgeous Live Version. I feel I should enjoy 2nd place's Little Red's Rock It - with the gorgeous piano and bouncey pop vibe, but for me, it's just TOO indie, and makes me try too hard..I like my pop in my face thank you very much. Pleasant, but not my fave. Speaking 3rd place's - Ou Est Le Swimming Pool's Dance The Way I Feel is a gorgeous dance/pop hybrid with sparkling synths, a gorgeous bassline, fantastic vocal and amazing chorus....I do approve highly of this one! Cee-Lo Green's #6 F**k You? I like, but not enough to keep it this high, lets be honest. I've been shot down many times in the past for expressing my less-than-supportive opinion of Sia, I've never really been a fan and can't really see that changing. But, Clap Your Hands, coming in at #13, is quite an anthem, I will be honest. Amazing chorus. One of my faves from the disc. Birds Of Tokyo's Plans (#4), is actually a gorgeous number, with a great melody and pretty sound - They aren't my usual style, but I've got a soft spot in my heart for this song.

Boy & Bear's Fall At Your Feet (#5)? Instant Classic. An amazing cover of the Crowded House epic, they give it a fantastic bluesy/rootsy feel and it just works perfectly. Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People (#32) is one of the bigger gems of the set. A pulsating mid-tempo rock/rootsy/pop hybrid, with an amazing Mika-esque chorus has a real pop vibe to it that I do quite enjoy..I highly recommend - Particularly to Paul if you're reading? It's definitely something different, and unexpected, but its a slow-burner, and grown on me a lot! I feel obliged to review #20 Washington's Sunday Best. She's the indie-pop darling in Australia at the moment, and I don't have a problem with that...Sunday Best is however the only track of her's I actually enjoy, with it's relentless pop sound and vibe...As for the rest of her work? I just can't quite enjoy it! Runaway by Kanye West Feat. Pusha T - #14 - as much as Kanye can be offensive and abrasive, and his music equally, I have a lot of personal connection - via friends - to the guy...and I do have various memories of late-night dancing to this track, so I do actually enjoy it...I must admit..a bit of a soft-spot. Barbra Striesand by Duck Sauce (#15). I must admit - I just don't get it. Nice enough dance beat, but it just goes nowhere, and isn't even, for me, that enjoyable. Glee tore it up, but Duck Sauce's aNYway? SO MUCH BETTER! Pendulum's Witchcraft (#48). Quite an epic. I must admit. Absolutely explosive hard electronica that just works rather well, and is effortlessly cool. Final part of disc 1 is Florence & The Machine Feat. Dizzee Rascal - You've Got The Dirtee Love (Live) #27. An amazing mix, great live cover, and Florence tears it up, but another one I don't quite 'get'. It's good, but just not my thing.

Moving on to disc 2? Yeasayer's O.N.E #30 takes a bit of getting used to, but it's island-tinged dance is rather charming. I adore the slow-burning dance/pop of Adrian Lux's Teenage Crime #6. Everything about the track is a perfect capture of an amazing moment, and just works SO well. It's a great beat, amazing sound, gorgeous vocal, and just fantastic stuff...Well done, and some of electro at its best. Sparkadia's Talking Like I'm Falling Down Stairs #24? Has something strangely gorgeously amazing and compelling about it, which I unexpectedly adore. A lot. It's a great number, I must admit. Some fantastic stuff here, which sounds like something I can't quite place. Then comes the Crystal Castles' EPIC, featuring Robert Smith - I'm Not In Love #26. Electropop reminiscent of the Killers' Day & Age which explodes into a cold, shimmery wall of synths that's exactly what I wanted from the Killers' work. An amazing track that just explodes. I really love it, it's romantic, beautiful and just fantastic stuff. Magic Fountain by Art Vs. Science #9? EPIC in every possible way, but not as amazing as Parlez Vous Francais. I think it's mostly the yelling, and the bassline, which make this great. Not my favourite by any standard, but not at all bad. I must admit, I have a soft spot for the lighter, summery-pop tinge of Darwin Deez' Radar Detector #28. It's light, relaxed, frothy fun pop. Gorgeous stuff which I adore!

Crave You - Flight Facilities Feat. Giselle #19. It's a slinky, smooth pop/dance number which I do rather enjoy. Giselle could, quite honestly, tear this up in any other situation, I'd like to hear a solo album. Punching In A Dream - The Naked & Famous #34. A gritty, bassy, electronic-rock number, with pop overlays? Works surprisingly well. Held together by a vocal reminiscent of 80s pop songstresses, a la Belinda Carlyle. Doncamatic - Gorillaz Feat. Daley #37. It's brilliant, but only held together and only works because of the absolutely MINDBLOWING vocal, which I just adore. Illy Feat. Owl Eyes - It Can Wait (#29). Takes a while to pick up (gloss over the rap, which just showcases the Australian accent at its most sexy, but least useful for rapping! :P) to get to the heavenly chorus of amazingness, absolute beautiful, and we're good! Bag Raiders are one of the most brilliant upcoming dance/pop acts to come from Australia - As Shooting Star attests. So why Way Back Home #46 is the track on here, surprised me. It's not bad by any standards - A deep bassline, electronic bleeps, beautiful chorus backed by a wall of synths and a mystical dark vocal - But it's nothing particularly groundbreaking, sounding Presets-lite, to me and just doesn't quite 'grab' me like their other anthem does! Gyroscope - Baby, I'm Getting Better #40. I've hated enough on this type of music with my friends to know this will come as a complete shock for them. I really enjoy this. It's a thumping, relentless rock number, but something about the vocal, and the pop hook and sensibility just makes this amazing. Some of the best rock I've heard in a while. Holidays - Miami Horror Feat. Alan Palomo (#54). One of the really indie bands which define the scene for me, pull out an amazing dance/pop number, with a gorgeous synth and bassline pair that's hard to beat. Fantastic stuff.

Melanie La Patin Presents Ballroom Remixed!

Tuesday is the day. The day after the worldwide release of the Lady GaGa OPUS Born This Way, and Elena Paparizou's Seminal Greatest Hits & More, comes the absolutely awesome Ballroom Remixed Compilation!

This compilation will be made up of 22 brand-new tracks inspired by, or remixed, in the vein of Ballroom Dance. Introducing Hollie LA!

I've been meaning to write about Hollie LA on the site for ages now, but only today have the chance - Life is hectic, so yeah. I hope you all had a good Easter and ANZAC Day?

ANYWAYS, Hollie LA is a lovely, gorgeous and exceptionally talented lady who makes some awesome music, and great videos too...I'm going to give a small review of an EP here, sprinkled with some of her videos.

Video number one is for her track "Poison", and it's an awesome number. A 7 minute epic, I'm not going to blow the video for you, but it's definitely worth a watch, and the track is fantastic as well. Definitely potential new favourite there. With an awesome beat, a great set of synths and an awesome vocal from Hollie, hard not to adore!

Here however, I have a copy of Hollie LA's cover of Enrique Iglesias' Tonight (I'm Loving You). It's a pulsating, thumping dance number, and although it doesn't have quite the same throb as the original, or, you know, sexy Enrique :P, Hollie's vocal gives the track a different feel and a new take, and It's rather smooth number, with some awesome synths. Next up is a BRAND NEW single from Hollie, for her track "Hard 2 Get". Available on iTunes here, the track is a mid-tempo, gorgeous, synthy vocal number, with a beautiful sound, awesome vibe, and a killer vocal from Hollie. So hard, actually impossible, not to adore. Love it!

And finally comes a short review of Hollie's debut EP - Unlocked. It's available on iTunes here. Domesticate It kicks things off in a great retro-pop-R'n'B vibe, with some awesome synths, reminiscent of Dannii Minogue's "Get Into You" era. Slinky, sexy and sultry - I really enjoy it. Great stuff. Loves. Love Debt comes along and it's a more bassy, but with really 'hot' vibe, if that makes any sense? - The track just works really well, and Hollie's snarled vocals work awesomely. Love it. Fame opens with an awesome piano sound, underpinned by a great beat, but it's really the chorus that makes this one awesome. Quite anthemic, with a great vibe. It works really well! Oh No has a beat, and bass that I really enjoy, but I can't quite pin down exactly what I think of when I hear it. Either way, a great number, and I can imagine an awesome video and choreography for this one. Killer stuff. Invisible Chains is the next number, and it's a midtempo piano backed R'n'B ballad, and although it's really pretty, it's not my favourite of the set, and I think it'd work a lot better as a straight piano-backed acoustic version (I know you're reading this Hollie *wink wink*). Finally comes Identity which reminds me very much of a female Michael Jackson track, with a great vibe, and although I prefer her dancier numbers, Hollie shines here, with an awesome bassline and synths. Much adore. Great stuff. Thoughts?

Something about this is just hauntingly perfect, and I find it absolutely amazing, A must listen, particularly for you Paul!

Cori Yarckin's power vocals cut through the mix to make for an exciting time in the club scene across the world..

Another absolute perfect number, with a beautiful vocal, amazing mid-tempo bassline, and absolutely perfect. I can't say how much I think this is so majestically beautiful. Something about this is tear-jerkingly perfect, and I just adore it, so so so much. Absolutely gorgeous on every possible level. Cutting to Ross again: A beautiful ballad produced by Ross Lara and Todd Wright, and written by friend Chris Reardon. Nate Ihara on the vocals.

DiSanto - The Beginning - Review

I was introduced a while back now to DiSanto's music, linking it to Darin immediately got me interested :P Aside from the fact he is absolutely gorgeous, DiSanto's spanish/english hybrid of dance and R'n'B makes for quite the attention-grabber. The fact he's also shared the stage with Gloria Estefan, U2 and Melissa Ethridge (Presumably not all at the same time) is also quite the bonus.

After a title track, The Beginning, Sinner kicks off, and it's a very Adam Lambert type track, with a very theatrical backing, paired with a great electronic sound - It's a great listen, but not my favourite of the tracks. Then comes the hilariously titled Ride My Chu-Chu is a thumping dancey piece, with one killer bassline, and a kick ass chorus, amazing electronic, and a great vocal which I adore - GREAT stuff! Then comes my favourite on the disc - The absolutely awesome, bassline-heavy, electro-pop, spanglish Come. It's heavily sexual, a lot of fun, and absolutely sensual. ADORE it. I feel like I shouldn't, but it's impossible not to ;) Then comes the more traditionally R'n'B Get Away. Although it's a great track, well produced, with amazing synths and a great beat, DiSanto's vocal suits the track perfectly - and although it plays along ok - I'm just not "feeling" it...Great stuff though. Sanctified is the final track on the disc, and it's a more intense/theatrical take on Ride My Chu-Chu...With an AWESOME chorus - I adore it, It's deffo awesome stuff...Love it a lot.

She's already one of my FAVOURITE up-and-coming songstresses, and although I'm OBSCENELY late on this one, this song is absolutely amazing and has been burning up my playlists for quite a while now. One Hot Pleasure is the brand new single from Erika Jayne, the first on her own "Pretty Mess Records" and it's an amazing move away from her previous sound, whilst still holding all the best elements. The video above is also pretty fantastic! You can pick up the track here, I'd love to know your thoughts, you can pick the track up on iTunes here.

First up we have the One Hot Pleasure (Original Radio Edit), with it's thumping, oscillating electronic bass-beat, amazingly seductive gloriously awesome vocal from Erika, fabulously dancey bridge and amazingly awesome bridge...It's quite the thumper that I definitely enjoy - Hard not to adore actually. Then comes the Video Version, which is the above version, just with an EVEN MORE INSANELY AMAZING interlude -> Impossible not to adore! Then comes the Extended Version, which, although a more than fun listen, takes the track a little long for my liking, and it's much better just suited at a tight, uptempo, intense, thumping dance anthem, rather then drawn out...The 8 and a half minute Dave Aude Remix takes the track into intense, darker, amazingly bassy, kinda more tribal territory that works rather well. I quite enjoy it. Again, just a bit long for my liking,

The 7 minute Ralphi Rosario Club Remix is a fun one which develops upon, seemingly, the sound of the previous mix, and the original to create a spacey, dancey, sophisticated, synthy anthem with a great vibe that I do rather enjoy, amazing breakdown too. The Sultan & Ned Shepard One Hot Remix comes along next and takes a little longer to get wound up, but when it does, I adore it - Love the use of the "piston" sound that made the original, and amazing build-up makes for one fantastic listen. The amazing bassline and gorgeous synthy nature of the track is impossible not to adore as well. A little long for my liking, but hey, there's worse things? Then comes the, as its name suggests, Dirtyloud Vocal Remix, which takes the original, and lays it over an intense, glitchy, electronic, synthy, thumping beat which suits the track awesomely. A mix that I ADORE! Great build-up/breakdown too. Then comes the closer, the slower DJ Mr. White Remix which pairs the track over a deep, heavy beat, and an amazing set of synths which I most definitely enjoy. Some great claps and synths, and one HUGE breakdown are also a bonus that make for one awesome mix. Great way to end the mix CD.

Hi All! I have two awesome new tracks below for you today that I'm VERY excited about. However, before I start, I might just quickly mention that I am still alive, and deeply sorry for the practical sleep of the site. Life is absolutely INSANE for me at the moment, in any and every area, and I've had hardly any time to blog, but here is a quick post for you all!

First up is the brand new track from Tatiana Okupnik! Her first UK single, released to iTunes April 18, Spider Webs is the kind of thing I'd easily expect Jordin Sparks to take to the top of the charts, and rightly so, because it's awesome! Tatiana's vocal is commanding, and set over a fantastic delicate, piano-backed mid-tempo beat that I just adore. Pairing that with the knowledge that there are some remixes coming (I CAN NOT WAIT), this could quite possibly be an anthem in waiting! The video is also a very strong point, absolutely, mindblowingly beautifully attractive, and definitely in my top 10 ever. You MUST watch this one.....and check out her website here for more information :)

Then comes this, and I can't even speak/breathe/function it's that amazing. Their name is Love Generation. Their song is Dance Alone. It was a competitor in the recent Swedish Eurovision National Selection (Melodifestivalen - SO MUCH HEART). This song opens with a beautiful piano introduction, with one FABULOUS vocal, descending into a thumping dance number, before exploding into the synthy, fabulous as anything you've ever heard EXPLOSION of synthy dance pop with the most awesome vocal and beat you've ever heard. A pretty awesome single cover, above, is also a bonus. And the below performance of the track is absolutely FLAWLESS!!!!! How this wasn't the selection is well and truly beyond me!

Katy Perry - E.T (Futuristic Lover) (Suneil S Remix) - Review

Katy Perry's E.T is storming up the charts, and after a little time, has finally clicked with me, it's an amazing piece with brilliant production. But that's not what I'm here to talk about today. What I've got for you is a preview of one of the official, brand-new, AWESOME mixes of the track!

The Suneil S Remix of the track is a thumping, explosively amazing, synthy, glittery, beautiful dance-pop take on the track which, with its amazing bassline, sends the mix into the STRATOSPHERE. Katy's vocal here is absolutely amazing, and although it doesn't have quite the same effect when removed from it's glitchy, "trip" of the original vocal, I adore this one. Amazing synths really make this one something to be very proud of! - An AWESOME mix, I can't see this not filling the dancefloors around the world. ADORE! Thoughts please?

Adam Tyler - I Won't Let You Go - Review

Aside from being quite possibly the sweetest and cutest, most lovely, and generous popstars on the planet, Adam Tyler is also exceptionally talented, to a chart-topping, world-class standard I'm talking, and his music, and voice, and style just hit a bit of a nerve with me, and I need to hear every thing he has ever recorded, a reaction only a few popstars create in me. I feel most certainly honoured to work with him, and I really can't wait for you to hear some of these tracks I've been given the pleasure of previewing, and I will actually explode when I get to hear more. Definitely give these a listen - They will be most certainly worth your time, coming from one of my absolute favourite "up-and-comers" - and trust me, I've worked with a few! Pick up the single on iTunes here, and in the mean time, give these samples (From Adam's Soundcloud page - Chock full of free downloads!) a listen.

I Won't Let You Go:

My absolute favourite of the bunch, this track is impossible to describe, and is more beautiful and fantastic than words can attempt to cover. A BEAUTIFUL, tender, piano intro, showcasing Adam's AMAZING voice (I only have a few Male vocallists that I adore - Adam is about one of 5 or 6). The track then quickly gains some awesome moodiness, before the electronic elements come in for a hauntingly beautiful chorus which then opens into a distorted, absolutely fabulous, dance/pop stomper that's melancholic and beautiful, uptempo and downbeat all at the same time. Impossible to describe, but absolutely perfect. Yet again, Adam creates pure perfection. Amazing bridge too.

The Last Time We Say Goodbye:

Then comes the more tender, absolutely beautiful ballad that is The Last Time We Say Goodbye. Delicate, with Adam's vocal restrained, yet still sounding as majestic and magical as always. It takes a little while to worm it's way into your brain, but it's a beautiful number, with a gorgeous chorus that I adore, beyond belief. Fabulous stuff. I adore this one oh so much. A fantastic number :) - Love love love love love love.

Playing Hardball (With Electrovamp):

Now, I don't have a Soundcloud for you here but this one is FANTASTIC! A duet between Adam and Electrovamp (The FABULOUS girlband) - This track is FIERCE! Definitely took me a while to get my head totally around, but the production here is absolutely flawless. Awesome beats, and some awesome distorted synths, I love it. Oh so much! And the lyric smack-down, about the same level as Madonna & Britney Spears' seminal "Me Against The Music". Awesome stuff, I most definitely adore this. Oh so much. Vocally, it's a fun number with Adam's luscious tones contrasting well with the fun, feminine vocals of Electrovamp. I adore it!

What Was He Thinking?:

I was recently introduced to Nomi Madness a by a fantastic friend of the site. Think Adam Lambert, then glam it up by about 100 notes, and cross it with RuPaul. I'm a huge fan, and I'm sure you will be too - Particularly if you have a look at the Fairy Tale Mixtape here! - Fairy Tales is the name of the glittery new EP, available on iTunes. Read on for my thoughts, but suffice it to say? It's pretty awesome.

The Red Wine Girl (David Kahne Remix) kicks things off, and it's like a super camped up, glittery dance pop version of a Jamiroquai track. Fun, light, breezy, with an awesome bassline, so much fun, and an awesome vocal, it's hard to go past. Just so much fun, and so fabulously fun and camp - I Adore it! Then comes my favourite of the EP - The Rush (Demo Mix). A minimalistic, but intensely awesome thumping dance/pop beat, with an amazing musical chorus, awesome drums, and a killer vocal (Reminds me of George Michael) - This is absolutely FLAWLESS! Adore it! Tease Me (Part 2) slows things down a bit into a more sensual jungle/grinde rhythm. It's a good listen, but it's not my favourite of the set. A good listen, but it's just not got the same energy and vibe, to me, as the previous tracks. Eye Candy (Virgin Version) is much like Red Wine Girl, in that it's synthy, uptempo, campy, with an awesome vocal - but it just doesn't have quite the same airy, stressless perfection as the former. It's still great though. Then comes Falling (R.I.P Anders), which opens with an intense, distorted sound, and it's like a pop dubstep, if that makes sense. It's a great listen, with a great watery feel, but as for a purely musical number, the track just doesn't have the "flow" I like in my music. It's exceptionally well produced though :) Then comes the last track, another mix of The Rush, which is a little more melodic, more heavily instrumented, with synths, strings e.t.c - It's not my favourite, I prefer the more thumping, straight ahead dance version - This just doesn't have the same effect on me as the previous mix. Definitely worth a listen though, and I'd love to know your thoughts!

What Were They Thinking?: Jellyfish

Introduced to me recently by a fantastic friend of the Site is this rather intriguing compilation from Kingem Records. Titled U.N. Disco, and it features 11 artists from all around the world, and is a tribute to Italo/Electro/Disco/Indie pop! You can pick up the release on iTunes here, Here's my thoughts on the whole collection! Thoughts please?

First up is my beloved Friday Bridge, with Into The Night. This track is a bit of an interesting one, glistening synths fall into a beautiful synthy, distorted, brilliant number, with one of the band's strongest vocals - Just so sweetly gorgeous! Much Love!. Then, from my own backyard, comes Future Vision (And The Clock Strikes Thirteen), from Carl Higgs. A brilliant throbby number, with a deep electronic bass, some ambient synths, and a vocal that is good, but does get a bit lost in the mix. An awesome number, well produced. Church Of Sound comes along next, from the UK's The Brigadier. Hard to ignore, the sound is a retro, gorgeous vocal number, with some gorgeous synths, a beautiful vibe, and just a total beautiful feel...something about it is beautiful! - Lovely stuff! Amazing beat too, and killer chorus! Possibly my favourite on the album! Italy's Michele Modenini Feat. Mark Zonda come along next with Astro Fille, and It's intergalactic synths, and awesome beat...It's a lot less "enveloping" than the previous, yet still has something strangely gorgeous about it. A great number, I do adore it! Another Italian pairing comes along next with Fitness Forever's Carlos Featuring Vanessa London, in Hot Times. Vanessa's vocal is GORGEOUS, and the beat here is nice, but Vanessa really steals the show :P - It's a fabulous track, with a great beat, and awesome vibe! I do enjoy it a lot! Lyrics aren't my favourite, I'd love to hear it in Italian! We have another Italian in Formanta, and Jellyfish. Possibly my least favourite on the disc, the track just doesn't work for me. The vocal isn't fantastic, the instrumentation is a bit too sparse for me, and the synths just don't really do it. Not my thing.

We head back to Sweden with the intense, synthy, throbbing, relentless Hologram Eyes from Stars in Coma. Pretty enough, with a great piano, the sound is a bit reminscent of a "dancier" Cut Copy. A lovely sound, I do enjoy the track - It's a bit of a guilty pleasure :P Fantastic stuff!. Awesome piano too. Mumarcord, from the Italian Tiny Tide, is another interesting one, very pretty, tender dance pop. It's not my favourite stuff, but it's exceptionally well produced, with a great feel and a fantastic vibe. Hard to describe, but pretty. Sweden's Charley Rivel (From The Mare) comes along next with Wonder. Not really my thing, although the bells are nice, the sparser electro vibe here, with a really deep bassline just doesn't really do it for me. Not my favourite track, just doesn't do it for me. Camoflage Detection, from the USA's Sean Rawls (Still Flyn') comes along next, and marks the transition of the album to a slower sound, it's a more downtempo, electronic, mid-tempo ballad that, although worth a listen, just doesn't really do it for me. It's pretty enough, with a great melody and nice production - It's just not my thing. In something that really does freak me out (given we usually are ignored), the second piece from my backyard and Italy duely is King Of The Parking, from Ildy Minardi Feat. Mark Zonda, produced by Anthony Rochester. An uptempo, glittering, glistening, synthy electro pop number, the track is relaxed, with a GORGEOUS vocal from Ildy, a beautiful production, some gorgeous synthy moments, a fabulous number, and a gorgeous way to end the song. Fabulous stuff. All should be very proud! Enjoy!

TimPermanent - Marker EP - Review

TimPermanent's second EP Marker is an absolute triumph. Creating forward thinking electro-dance-pop music, almost like a male Robyn? - Tim's vibe is one that's absolutely fantastic. I definitely urge you all to give the above video a look, check out his website here, and you can pick up the EP on the site :). I'm waiting with baited breath to get a full album from him! Below are my thoughts, track by track, with the entire tracks viewable in the YouTube videos :)

Extraordinary is my favourite of the set. A beautiful electronic soundscape paired with a fantastic vocal, awesome effects, gorgeous synths and a fabulous vibe that's just purely epic - Impossible to describe, but optimistic, with a beautiful feel and Tim's vocal is something truly exceptional here. Beautiful synths.

More Than Want comes along next, and it reminds me of a vibe of a danced up take on Emma Dean's "Bigger Than You, Bigger Than Me". A gorgeous lyric, paired with Tim's vocal makes for a fantastic listen. Now, I'm not a total fan of this track - Something about the instrumentation just isn't my vibe - It's good, and the electronic oscillation is awesome. I'm not totally sold, but yeah. I'd like to hear this over a stripped back, thumping beat repetitive sound, I think it'd be good.

Black & White is a more straight-forward, unapologetically awesome dance/pop synthy throbber, with an intense electronic intro, Tim's fantastic vocal vibe (Sounds like an SAM production :P) - This should have been the second single, after Extraordinary. Not as openly epic as the introductory track, but epic in a different way - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, with a fabulous vocal, GORGEOUS beat and vibe - I ADORE IT.

I wasn't really a massive fan of Asymmetrical, and it's pop/r'n'b vibe, but it's growing on me actually. Tim's vocal has a beautiful tenderness and emotion that I'm sold on. It's pretty. The beat is growing on me, but Tim's vocal holds this one together for me. Gorgeous stuff, with a fabulous rhythm and melody - It's a risky track, but it works here.

And the closer is the beautiful, tender, delicate, pop/piano ballad Alkaline. Pure perfection, with a haunting delicate beautiful - It's impossible to describe, but I URGE you to give it a listen - A tender listen, with a lovely vibe and an impossibly intricate instrumentation - Awesome stuff..I'd love your thoughts!

THIS GIRL IS AMAZING - KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR HER!

I will do another in depth post about the lovely (and gorgeous - Look at those lashes :P) Jill Helena has recently been introduced to me by a close friends, and, as he suspected, I "dig her in a big way" :P The Dutch songstress is moving towards finalising her fabulous debut, and I for one, CAN NOT WAIT! Her music is a fabulous, attitude filled hybrid of Dance, pop, R'n'B vibes and sounds something approaching, well, it's impossible to describe - You'll just have to give a listen to the preview of Egotastic below and judge for yourself (and then check out 8 other previews on her official site) - and report back! I'd love to know your thoughts! You can check her out on MySpace, Official Site, Twitter and YouTube. I, for one, am TOTALLY on board, think (hope :P) Egotastic will do GREAT things, and would love to see her perform in Eurovision - Even if it's just so I have an excuse to go to (hopefully) Amsterdam if she wins (:P). OK, so Imma deviate a little bit here in this review, featuring a handful of tracks in the written review, with some other bonuses. Dave Patten is a 22-year old, gorgeous, singer from Philadelphia with a distinctive vocal, and an AMAZING sound. With a super successful YouTube channel, and a free to download album (Here), Dave's music is reaching the world, and his covers are LEGENDARY, and are also available to download on the site. My thoughts on a handful of my favourite tracks from Exposure (the free album), and some of my favourite covers, are below - All tracks however, are ranked. Now, I think I may actually get a bit Swoony here, the guy is just brilliant, so hold on! :P

Echo, the above video, is actually FLAWLESS. Awesome beat, gorgeous vocal from Drew, so sweet lyrics the track just hits all my right buttons and just works PERFECTLY. Amazing vibe, with a sound that could easily suit any time of day, any season - It's so gorgeous, and I just want to dance on the beach at sunset to this one :P Melt, meanwhile, is a bit more of a "seductive" piece, perfectly suited to Valentine's Day coming up. It's actually SMOKING hot, but tender and beautiful...Purely fantastic stuff, that I just adore. Some lovely stuff. How Good is another interesting one, featuring Meek Mill, and it takes a while to get started, but when it does, it explodes into an INTENSE island-influenced number, with a great vibe - Much love! Oh No, featuring Fese, is another one where Dave pairs his traditional sound with fantastically amazing lyric, awesome storyline, and a bit of more a "street" sound. I mean, I really only adore this for one line, I nearly choked the first time I heard it :P Impossible is just a sweet, relaxed, laid-back sound, basically a stripped-back version of Echo. A beautiful listen, I do adore it, and Dave's impossibly difficult to describe, but amazingly awesome vocal and lyric - Just works so well.

Do It has a bit more of a soulful, rain-down, relaxed vibe, that I really do adore. Hard to relate to when it's as warm outside as it is today - But it's a cold, intense, softer ballad, with a brilliantly crafted lyric and an intense vocal - I'm amazed with how brilliantly consistent Dave is! Come On sounds like an early 00's R'n'B piece with an awesome twist that I find it hard to pin down, but it's got an awesome beat, and fantastic vocal rhythm. Maybe is another take on the Echo sound that I adore oh so much, and the thoughtful, beautiful, romantically sweet lyric really works for me too :) - It's so gorgeously lovely, and I can kinda relate, I love it. Won't Give Up is a big, room-filling, R'n'B/Pop number, again featuring Fese, that I ADORE! I'm not sure if it's how cute I find Dave, but I can imagine an awesome video for this - A funky pop/r'n'b number that works VERY well! Beautiful is the album closer, a BEAUTIFUL mid-tempo R'n'B/piano pop ballad that's tenderly beautiful and sweet - I really love it, with an amazing vocal and a fantastic vibe - It's fantastic!!!! Amazing stuff. Fantastic stuff, I adore it!

Now, also on the site are some of the AMAZING covers of tracks that Dave features on YouTube, and has some available to download. I wholeheartedly recommend the awesome cover of OneRepublic's MEGAHIT Apologise, which suits Dave's throaty vocal fantastically. His cover of Ne-Yo's Closer, transforms the song into a dance-tinged Guitar-pop track, with an AMAZING vocal from Dave, I didn't think it'd work, but to be totally honest with you - It may just be my favourite of the set. His cover of Disturbia is quite possibly the most well known of them all, and it's a fun one, but it's actually not my favourite of the Rihanna covers...that'd go to his AWESOME cover of Don't Stop The Music - Works EXCEPTIONALLY well. It'd be hard for him not to cover Jason Mraz's fantastic I'm Yours, and although he doesn't quite always hit some of the scats and the rhythm elements, The track works REALLY well, with a vocal that's got a bit more of a grunt behind it. If I Were A Boy (Beyoncé) and Kiss Kiss (Chris Brown Feat. T-Pain) are both worth a listen. Migrate (Mariah Carey) is another one that I most certainly didn't expect that'd work as well as it does, but Dave handles it awesomely, and the track actually suits him brilliantly! Ok, there are slight flaws in his cover of Britney Spears' Piece Of Me, but something about it actually strangely fantastic. It works REALLY well. And the closer, the cover of the Coldplay EPIC Viva La Vida. What can I say? The track is a perfect choice for him, works brilliantly, with a gorgeous sound, fantastic vibe, and a beautiful feeling, it works fantastically - With an amazing instrumentation - It's a MUST LISTEN!

Neil Sullivan - Building An Army

I've not really ever been a fan of the Pet Shop Boys, something about their sound just turned me off...but this guy could EASILY sound like them! - Building An Army is the most tender, beautiful, GORGEOUS piece of music I've heard this year. Anthemic synths, a vocal that gives me goosebumps so deep inside that I nearly want to cry, and a piano that's just so beautifully tender, and it's just so flawlessly perfect, what with those drums, that I may actually explode from it's sheer glittering, shimmering perfection. It's rare that I'd never change a song, or criticise anything - but this song may quite possibly be perfect. Already a contender for song of the year, it's just flawlessly beautiful. I CAN NOT URGE YOU TO LISTEN TO THIS ENOUGH! - Paul, I think you'll enjoy this a heap...So beautiful. As I said to Neil himself, such a lovely guy, "Something about your music, your vocal, your sound and just the whole collection just struck me, really well, as a stroke of pure magnificence...." - It's just impossible to describe but something about this is purely epic, understated, flawless, broken, happy, melancholy, uptempo, downmood all at once. I adore it!.

The song has just been released digitally, and you can pick up the track on Neil's Bandcamp page here. 25 Years old, Neil is originally from the UK, but is currently set up shop in North America, his first album is set for release early this year, and I may explode, or become a withering mess, when I get to hear it. In another of my "catch-up" series, is this album review of Two Hours Traffic's Territory. A Canadian act, the group was the recent support act for the, much-hyped, the Jezebels tour of Australia. Territory is their most recent album release, and although it's outside of my usual sound for the site, it is worth a listen, and your time. Above is the video for Happiness Burns, and check out iTunes here for the album. It's not an album I'd usually adore - But I do :)

Noisemaker opens the album on a melodic, rowdy rock note, with a distinct optimism and warmth to it...Hard to describe, but I do enjoy. It's definitely worth a listen, with an interestingly awesome vocal, it's a good listen. Wicked Side comes along next, and it's a bit more of a slinky rock track, with a more sparse instrumentation, bringing the focus, front and centre, on the amazing vocal (and the awesome hand-claps later on). It's a fun track, with a slinky feel, that I do enjoy. Territory, the title track, opens with a fast rock riff that I don't enjoy, but then it quickly wins me back with a great vocal, and some awesome vibes. It's not my favourite, but it's a nice enough listen. Weightless One sounds like something I'd expect to hear not on a rock record. It's a delicate, effect driven number with an awesome pop vibe, and a lovely "singer-songwriter" feel...Gorgeous vocal, I do enjoy. Something about it just has a beautiful tenderness to it, that I could easily hear taking over Australian radio. Painted Halo comes along next, and it's another rowdier rock number, with a toe-tapping vibe, and interesting tambourine accents. I do enjoy the music, but in the scheme of things, the whole track doesn't really do it for me. Parts of it just don't quite hit the right spot with me.

Just Listen is a bit more of an indie-pop vibe, with a gorgeous beat and a beautiful vocal - Makes for a fantastic sound that could EASILY be taken to Number 1 by Robbie Williams (whom the vocal reminds me of). A beautiful set of synths, and a fantastic vibe - It's just a flawless sound. I do very much adore it. Drop Alcohol doesn't exactly hit all the vibes I'd like it to. It's a nice enough track, but something about it just doesn't quite "get me". It just sounds like it's missing something. Some elements are there, but all in all, it's just not totally for me. Monster Closet is another one I'm not sure of. I do like the vocal rhythm, and the vocal is beautifully tender, but as for a full listen, it's just not my vibe...Nice elements, but something about it just doesn't quite grab me, and some of it rubs me the wrong way...Worth a go though. Can I have an acoustic guitar backed version? :P Lost Boys is an acoustic guitar-backed vocal track, with a fantastic feel and gorgeous sound - Showcasing the AMAZING vocal here, the listen is an enjoyable one. Gradually though it falls into a track that although pretty, doesn't quite keep my attention. Happiness Burns comes along next, and it's a pretty anthemic pop/rock track with some lovely synths and elements, but as for a full track, it's not really my thing. Nice guitar, but as for a full listen, it's a bit too "messy" rock for me, and doesn't quite go anywhere...

After opening with an awesomely unnerving beat, Sing A Little Hymn introduces a beautiful piano and together makes for a listen, with a beautiful sound, amazing vocal and pretty enough lyrics. Some AMAZING melodies here, I do enjoy it so much - A fantastic listen, Really enjoy it. One of the album's highlights. Heroes Of The Sidewalk is the first of the bonus tracks, and it's a tender guitar piece, which gradually becomes an actually epic album that I do rather enjoy...Fantastically pretty, with a great vibe, and a lovely feel - A lovely track, I definitely enjoy it. Hard to ignore. Jezebel comes along next, and it's a great listen, strummed toe-tapping guitar, with a sweet vibe, and a pretty sound - Not my total fave, but I do definitely enjoy. Great stuff. Nighthawks is an urgent, uptempo, rock number with a subtle electronic element behind it, and although I'd venture that the track is a little too intense for me , it's really rather pretty and definitely worth a listen - Amazing instrumentation! I'm not totally keen on the chorus, but hey. I like the conversation excerpt though. The disc closer is the fantastically electro/rock/pop Backseat Sweetheart, another track I could hear covering the Australian charts. A thumping, interesting, track, with an awesome vibe that just works so well - And although it's not my favourite, something about it is just so much fun and just so relaxed - I defo enjoy! :D

This post may be the most behind, and long-time-coming post that I've ever, ever written, and I apologise SO deeply for that, however, hopefully it's worth the time. Mobile Wash Unit is the band's name, and their sound is like a Day And Age-esque Killers, with rockier and urban vibes. Impossibly difficult to describe, but fantastic to listen to. I do highly recommend that you give Tent, this release, a listen - Check out their MySpace and the album on iTunes here. I'd love to know your thoughts.

September Was Winter kicks things off, and its an interesting one...Synthy rock pop -I'm not keen on the verses., but I love the chorus. A LOT! Really hard to describe, but I enjoy it. Second Glance comes along next, and it's a bouncey, sweet, poppy number, like a hyped up version of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours", crossed with Mika's back catalogue. Rather sweet, it's hard to describe, but it's just sweet, light and fun. I do enjoy. Hybrid Killers is a bit more of a retro-tinged funkier dance number I'd expect to hear on a Cut Copy album. It's a great listen, with some awesome synths, but all in all, it's not my total fave. It's worth a listen though. Stop And Go is an interesting one....hybridising the first and the previous track, it's a fuzzy, glitchy, pop/rock number with a real electro tinge, that's unnervingly creepy...I'm not totally sold on it. I See That You Don't Look comes along next, and it's a rough, distorted bassline paired with a gorgeous glittery synth, and it's hard to describe, but I do adore it. Definitely outside of my usual sound, but I enjoy.

Little Pieces is another interesting one, a lighter musically, rock/pop mid-tempo with a fantastic mellow vibe and a rather awesome vocal, I do enjoy it. Jump Down comes along next, and it's an unexpectedly brilliant soul/rock hybrid sound, influenced heavily by dance pop. I do enjoy it, but it is a little different. Not my favourite, but worth a listen. Open Book kicks off with a FANTASTIC synth which stays in the back of the mix throughout the disc. It's an interesting listen, that I do enjoy - but I feel could have been a little more "grounded" and kept a bit of a beat, would have made an AWESOME track. Pretty synths. Restart comes along next, and it's a bit of an alternative, rocky number that doesn't really do it for me at all. A little to flat, and just not my thing. It's interesting enough, but not for me.

Morning Corners comes along like a Killers-esque number with a Brandon Flowers-esque vocal over a funked-up take on their previous sound, something is strangely compelling about this, and I do rather enjoy, and recommend it. It's OK, but not my fave. Koko follows, and with a great electronic/rock beat paired with a distorted "phone-call"-esque vocal. It's OK, but not really my thing. Definitely well played, with a great instrumental, but not my thing. Down On The One Line definitely boost my impression of the album - A pretty, sparse, light, relaxing rock/pop piece with a pretty sound and a great vibe. It's not really my thing, but I do enjoy. The album closes on the trippy, psychadelic rock, synthy Ocean. Hard to describe, but beautifully mellow and something I'd be more than happy to hear after a long week at work on a Friday evening. A pretty track, I do enjoy. I'd love to know your thoughts?

Kristine Elezaj - No Questions Remain - Review

So, before I kick off this review, I'd like to take a bit of a breather. This, my loving friends, is my 1000th post on the site. I'm absolutely blown away, continuously, by the love and support of you all, the amazing musical talent that's around and I really feel that my music friends have become part of my family. In the past 2 and a half years it's taken me to get here, I've started college. I've finished college. I'm about to start Uni. I've had days where I can't post, have no motivation, drive or passion for what I'm writing about, and want to close this whole thing down (I still do, and with Uni, I suspect they'll become more frequent - So expect the posting frequency to plummet), the music and you all have got me through that. I've had days where I could rant forever and ever. And you've been there to listen. I've changed in so many different ways. I've been able to meld music with my other identities (Law/Politics/International Relations/Economics) And although I don't know about what's headed my way that may affect the site, I will be forever thankful to each and every one of you for the times we've had so far, and the amount I've learned from you all. I'm not going to thank each individual person - We'd be here for days - but if you've ever had ANYTHING to do with the site - Thank you so much. Now, on to a review which, interestingly, I'd never have heard about unless I was running this site :P

What Was She Thinking?:

The album kicks off with the amazing titled Siren Assassin and after a glamorous intro, the track quickly falls into a bassy, electro, trobbing, dance/pop thumper that just works so well. It's not perfect, and could be smoothed a little bit, but it works VERY well, it's infectious, and I'd love to see a video for this. Kidnap The DJ has quickly become a personal favourite pop track. AMAZING vocal, fantastic lyric, brilliantly produced - With so many fantastic elements - one killer middle-8, great intro, and great chorus - I'm seriously considering playing at parties :P Let You Know comes along next, and it's, after an interesting intro, a darker, dance/r'n'b mid-tempo...very fantastic, with a clanging, intoxicating beat, amazing vocal rhythm, brilliant verses, throbbing bass - very sweaty electro - I just adore this one...I'm not totally sold on the chorus just yet, but it's a fantastic piece - I do enjoy a lot :) Then comes the album's showpiece, the amazing-as-all-heck Warpath. A bouncey, electrontic, throbbing, vengeful, aggressive, with a FANTASTIC middle-8 - MASSIVELY well produced, with some glittery, synthy moments, it's just fantastically fabulous. SUPER hard to ignore, and AMAZING lyrics - Kristine just OWNS this. Then comes the 5 minute "epic" of the album, Momentum. Now, I think it's pretty. I do like it. It's sweet, and has some beautiful moments, particularly in the verses. BUT, something about it doesn't quite work for me. Kristine at moments sounds a bit like Britney, but sometimes here, the track doesn't suit her vocal...The beat could have been a bit dancier, like a "Lights" track, it would have made me happier, but it's still pretty, but just not for me. Saying that hurts, because, totally objectively, the song is AMAZING, but in the scheme of this album, just not my fave. It's growing on me every listen though, so maybe there is something in that :P

Then comes another personal favourite that I can almost confirm will be played at parties, Barb Wire. Featuring P-Dub, the track thumps, bounces, and grinds right after the synthy intro, for the whole length of the track - Think Britney's 'Womanizer' crossed with Kimberly Cole's 'Smack You', and Kylie Minogue's 'Speakerphone'. P-Dub's part is absolutely fantastic, amazing rhythm, and hard not to get your sexy on too. Light Years is another ballad, although it's extremely pretty, I feel it doesn't suffers from many of the same issues as Momentum. This is, BY FAR, the more superior of the two, and I would even go as far as saying it's superior to the Kylie track of the same name. It's a beautiful, delicate, first verse that really showcases Kristine's pure, vocal with a fantastic sound, but instead of what I was hoping, a downtempo dance-ballad, the track falls into a Jordin Sparks' 'Battlefield'-esque "R'n'B" beat. It's great though. Rockstar however is something I'd have expected to hear from Mis-teeq (if they were still around). An R'n'B uptempo piece, with a thumping sexy beat, and vibe, and AMAZING vocal rhythm, just a sexy piece that's hot as anything you might hear...amazing rock guitar too - Hard to get past. Then comes the throbbing, thumping, electro-beat of Do Or Die, backed with an AMAZING rock riff. Sounding like Britney at her best, it's a sexy, thumping, AMAZING elements beyond words - FANTASTIC Chorus, impossible to describe, Kristine NAILS this - It's a definite candidate for the next single, I just adore this - So dirty and sexy, but also so amazingly pop...Hard to ignore, it's flawless. Then comes Always, something I'd expect to hear on the most recent Toni Braxton or Whitney Houston albums - A soft, string-backed R'n'B ballad, with some beautiful orchestration, pretty vocal, beautiful melodies, some AMAZING vocal elements, but a beautiful choral element the track is a beautiful mid-tempo, but given I know what's coming, it's not been loved nearly enough by me...:P

Things go back into sexy overdrive on the synthy, whirly, dancey Boy Toy, which crosses maybe KE$HA's Blow with Britney's Womanizer...A fantastic uptempo romper that's a total banger, exceptionally well produced, with so many glittery elements, the track just rocks along really rather well..Not particularly "in-your-face" amazing, but give it a real look in, and it's fantastic :) Then comes the masterpiece in the video at the top of this post, Souvenirs. A fantastic RedOne-esque beat is paired with an amazing vocal, fantastic lyrics, great sound, awesome synths, and a KILLER Chorus...Awesome breakdown toward the end too..Hard to get past, I do adore it :) Then comes the album closer, a difficult to describe piece Living Dream. A softer, Janet Jackson-esque R'n'B piece, it's pretty enough, and the feature of Red Cafe is nice, but something about this..just doesn't quite "work" for me. It's pretty, and I can more than hear a dance, or a latin, remix, but it's just not doing it for me. Pretty, but not my fave. Then comes the absolutely FLAWLESS Always (Dance Remix). As I alluded to above, this is where all my love has gone. A fantastically uptempo beat that hits just the right amount of melancholy, with a beautiful hands-in-the-air beat and synth, pair that with the most beautiful vocal of Kristine's album (I think so, anyway) and some pretty lyrics, and you've got an ANTHEM! The album closes, this time, on a much better note (In my eyes anyway :P) a bassy, electronic THUMPER the Let You Know (Smashmode Remix). Taking the original, beefing it up, and throwing it over one MASSIVE beat, it's tight, and definitely a great, straight-forward, dance piece, but doesn't quite 'Grab" you - but that's OK, because it's really a fun one to dance to :P - I'd love to know your thoughts in the comments below!

Some New Artists Worth Your Time And Attention!

I've got a collection of brand new artists for you today, all worth your time in looking into them :) - Thoughts please?

The first one is Chiara Milliner. Her voice is sweet and soft, musically, she sings BEAUTIFUL dance/pop. A Boy To Love Me is a beautiful mid-tempo clashy dance pop piece with a fantastic beat and beautiful chorus that just sounds amazing. Then comes the absolutely fantastic, and near on flawless, electronically beat driven, and sounding a touch like a Rihanna track - Right Now. An awesome listen - I adore it. Then comes the mid-tempo R'n'B chilled sound of This Is What Love Is. Not really my personal favourite, but It's worth a listen regardless...Nice beat and well produced are always a bonus!

Then I have the interestingly beautiful Katie Tuck. Her music is a complete change of style and sound, actually country-pop. She has a beautiful country voice, which she more than showcases, and pairing it with some beautiful lyrics, awesome melodies, and a fantastic style, A Love That's Alive, shines for me personally :) - Beautiful sound, the girl can make some music! Then comes the beautiful piano/country ballad that is Forget, which is absolutely just perfect...She's just spellbinding here, and hard to go past...Amazing stuff. I Wanna Be That Girl opens with a title that we can all just relate to, no? It's a bit softer, and just a beautiful, tender, introspective, revealing, listen. Beautiful lyrics, gorgeous delivery, with a sweet sound, makes it just awesome :) You is a bit more of a sweeter listen, kinda country - definitely tinged musically, lyrically and vocally with it, but maintains some fantastic pop melodies and feel - I'd like to know your thoughts? Then comes, another complete backflip in sound, to Kiki Miguel. This girl is FIERCE! - Throwing down electro-pop/R'n'B stompers, with an amazing attitude. You can pick up these tracks on iTunes here. Come And Get Me is a part spoken/part sung dance/pop throbbing STOMPER which makes for one fierce and fun (Lyrics are amazing) listen, with a great refrain, awesome production and effects, It's almost impossible to describe, but I adore it. Go On Girl, is a bit more of a mid-tempo, deep R'n'B pop midtempo, it's hard to describe - I adore it. I could easily hear Rihanna give this a go, but personally, It's not my favourite. Original Shawty is hard to pin down, but it's beautiful. Think a female Jason DeRulo - Sweet, synthy R'n'B/Pop, with a chorus that's hard to get out of your head. Her vocal is beautiful, and the vibe here is just flawless. They Wanna Know is much more of a harder R'n'B/Hip-Hop number which wouldn't sound out of place as a "Watchamacallit Part 2" on the Pussycat Dolls' Doll Domination. A fantastic track, with a great vocal, awesome beat, well produced, and a AWESOME lyrics that're impossible to ignore - FANTASTIC!. But my favourite is the thumping dance/pop throb of Time To Fall In Love. With an awesome pulsating beat, some fantastic crunchy synths, great electronic spots, it's a great listen - I do adore it. Hard to get past, the girl just does dance pop well, and with a little more power and "oomph" behind it, I could easily hear this go to the top of the charts :)

Sasha Zall, the only male of the bunch, makes for another interesting, and kinda difficult to describe, muso. With a three track EP available on iTunes here, the tracks are interesting. Lost It In The Night is the first of the three, opening in a beautiful piano vibe, the track is a clashy, again Jason DeRulo-esque pop sound, with a great beat, fantastic vocal, and great vibe, it's hard to describe - But it's pretty, synthy, pop tinged R'n'B. You Got Me comes along next, and it's a mid-tempo R'n'B dance/pop hybrid that's hard to describe, but I do enjoy. It's a tight, thumper - With some nice electronic sounds and synths, but all in all, Some great elements though that I do enjoy and adore, with a great vocal rhythm that works well for me. Single To Me is an R'n'B/pop track I could easily see doing very well on the charts, but I think would slowly start to drive me insane. With a great hook, and fantastic vocal, maybe I could avoid that curse? Anyway, fantastic stuff, I most certainly enjoy it. Nice stuff, but the previous is my fave of the bunch :)

A while back, I featured the AWESOME above video for SIRPAUL's Music &; Me, in a full review of the album. This time, I'm just going to cut to the chase whilst I link you up with the iTunes here, and move on to featuring the remix suite :)

First up is the Single Version. Enough said there, I think. Then comes the Keven Maroda's All U Need Mix, which takes the track into a glitchy, crushy, bassy, really intense metallic place, that I'm not a total fan of. It's a little too intense for me. Ok, with a nice bassline ,but not my fave. Then comes the dark, throbbing, electronic Rick Cross Remix. Quite a dark, thumping reinvention of the track, I do enjoy this one...It could have stayed a little dancier, and throbbier, I'd have preferred that, but it's not too bad. The Fred Berthet Remix is an interesting one, I ADORE the synths. Not so much the spitty, splotchy sounds. It's a good mix, with a really nice beat, but it just doesn't "grab me" sadly..It's worth a listen, but it's just not my favourite. I do like the gradual build of the synths...definitely worth a listen. Then comes what may possibly be my favourite of the mixes, the Robotika Dreambeatz remix, kinda like a retro-dubstep-industrial-garage mix....very hard to describe, but absolutely AWESOME and definitely worth a listen, with some amazing synthy waves too, that are hard to ignore...Definitely a good one :) The 7B's Glamour Slam Remix is another personal fave...opening with the track as a rock/pop piece, it gradually dissolves into an awesome throbber that's still propelled by the guitar, but electronic perks, and throbs keep the pace up, the sound interesting, and the vibe great...A deeper beat would have been nice. Which is kind of what we see in the Candy Apple Blue Electropop Shop Remix. It basically takes the original, really beefs up the bassline, throws some more 'jittery' effects, and just 'thumps' it up a bit more - It's similar to what "Smack You: Reloaded" did to Kimberley Cole's "Smack You". Amazing synths too. Great chorus - I love the New Order - "Blue Monday" esque vibes :P The closer is the Cormac's Saturday Night Special Dub, and I ADORE the deep, thumping drum that opens this mix - FANTASTIC, but sounds familiar. Sadly though, my perception of the beat as an off kilter beat, the sheer length of the mix, and the other effects just detract from what had a very promising beginning for me. Doesn't hit my buttons, but maybe that's just me. Nice electronic pulse and synths though. Moments of silence work too. Thoughts please?

Kyle Brylin - Committed - Review

It is finally here. And released! - Kyle Brylin's latest masterpiece "Committed" has just unleased upon the world. And the package is near on perfect (:P) - Firstly, in what may be the most amazing single cover of the year, right now, I'm almost ready to call it...it's above....JUST SO AMAZING! - Now, hot guys wet? Always gets me interested :P - Make it the absolutely beautiful Kyle? And I'm totally there, but something about the shot, and it's tension, softness, composition, juxtaposition, detail (water, facial hair, actual hair) and that awesome brushed font makes for a great cover...A certain spaceman should be very, very proud of himself.

Then comes the video. SO MUCH SWOON. Let me just say, and get this out of the way first - KYLE LOOKS AMAZING IN THIS VIDEO, HAS FANTASTIC HAIR, AND THE PANT SHOTS ARE ENJOYED :P Glad that's done? - Now, although I think a colourful electronic explosion would have been more fun, the black & white video is awesome. It's fantastically well produced, with some great shots - but all this Chair choreography makes me very happy - It's spectacular! Particularly the spin, twirls, jumps, kicks, flips and just before the first chorus - All delight me. The eye twitches are also great detail... :) Just before the second middle-8 is amazing too.

Kyle Brylin - Committed (Ricardo Autobahn remix) by ninthwaver

Now for my thoughts on the song? Committed is a bit of an interesting one, with a great bounce, some AWESOME production effects (the synthy drum works for me), Kyle's vocal is fantastic - and something about the Middle-8 and that chorus really worms it's way into your brain. With some awesomely fantastic lyrics, just a plea to anybody in particular, the track just works SO AWESOMELY. The guy just keeps getting better and better, and, in my opinion is on a fast-track to stardom - and maybe It's just me - But I'm ready to hear a full, amazing album from him. Love the clashy chorus too, and the heart-stopping slight pause before the chorus! - AWESOME! The track, and it's remix package available on iTunes here, also comes replete with an AWESOME set of remixes? - A selection of my favourites? Above is the (free to download) thumping Richardo Autobahn Mix, with it's relentless beat, awesome electronic throb, gorgeous synths, swirling glittery amazingness and just fantastic vibe. Other favs? The fantastic harder Chris Jay Mix with it's brilliant campness, amazing synths, lasery brilliance. The Dirty Dasmo Remix is a crunching take on the original, and makes for a great listen...

Now, I can't urge you all ENOUGH to look into this track and Kyle - I'd LOVE your thoughts below!

Marirose - Marirose - Review

Marirose is fabulous. This is all.

I jest, of course, but that first sentence is completely true. Boasting an amazing vocal, awesome sound, and fantastically danceable vibe - Marirose is one to DEFINITELY keep an eye out for. Somehow, the girl is only 15...? I'm so jealous! An awesome artist, her music is fantastic! - One of her tracks has even been confused as a Rihanna track, and rush released (iTunes here) because there was so much attention garnered! You can pick up more information on Facebook here. Below are my thoughts on 5 special Marirose tracks.

I Wanna Go Crazy kicks the disc off, and it is AWESOME! A throbbing, glitchy, electronic pop number, with Marirose's COMMANDINGLY PERFECT vocal - The track is just absolutely flawless and just makes me MELT! It's a light electronic-pop-dance hybrid, but something about it just takes me to a completely new place. GIRL IS JUST AMAZING! Ten comes along next, and it's a bit more of a straightforward R'n'B/pop number that's actually really warm, summery, and just beautiful, with one fantastic middle-8, Marirose's vocal, and a affirming chorus - With a beautiful vibe...Gorgeous lyrics, and a fantastic sound. Adore it. Supermodel comes along next, and it's similar to a rocked up version of Ten, and it's a beautiful number, with Marirose's amazing vocal, paired with a fantastic beat, a lovely sound, and a great vibe - I do love. My Broken Heart comes along next, and it's sounds like something I can't quite place, but it's awesome. With a fantastic rocky effect, amazing chorus, MINDBLOWING middle-8, and an anthemic as all get out chorus - I just can't love this thing more than I do! - Nor this girl, she's just - It's impossible to put into words, and I really can't wait to hear more from her - Gorgeous stuff! Then comes the last track, the most hyped, I Feel Love, which, ironically, is only my 3rd favourite of the set. A great beat, another awesome vocal, fantastic piano sounds, fabulous lyrics, awesome middle-8 and a just beautiful chorus - But something about it just pales a little in comparison to I Wanna Go Crazy and My Broken Heart - but this would be a sure-fire hit anyway, and that's really saying something about the Quality of her music...One of the best new artists, mark my words - This girl will be BIG! - I'd love your thoughts!

Air Dubai - Wonder Age - Review

Now, I'm terribly behind on this - Criminally so actually, but I've been meaning to write about Air Dubai's release "Wonder Age" for quite a long time actually, and am sadly only getting around to it now. It's an interesting pop/rock/hip-hop/funk/electronica hybrid release that really makes for a great, and exciting listen. Their official website is here, and you can pick up the album on the site :D

Restless Youth kicks things off, and it's a bouncey, beat driven, super catchy number, with an awesome vocal, fantastic flow, and an interesting chorus - It's intense, and I do enjoy the listen, but it's not my absolute favourite. An enjoyable listen, with a great melody, but not earth shattering. Great vocal flow too. I Know How comes along next, and it opens with an awesome electronic synthy sound, before falling into a mid-tempo R'n'B-rock number, something Justin Timberlake would easily ride to Number 1. I love the trumpet effects, and the chorus is nice, I do enjoy it. Weekends may be the strongest track so far on the record. Something that could EASILY hit the top of the charts in Australia, it's a relaxed - B.o.B-esque track, with a great vibe, awesome sound, and really nice vocal. I adore the chorus most of all though! - Perfection. Now, I can't really remember that much of Warm Days, but playing it back now, it's a fairly straight forward beat, paired with an interesting, retro-tinged, synth over the top. It's an enjoyable listen, but not my absolute favourite. Doesn't really do it for me, seems to be 'lacking' something.

Then comes the amazingly titled Love In Retrograde. Not just awesomely titled, the intense thumping beat kicks off and is paired with some amazing synths, gorgeous effects, and a haunting vocal that really showcases the strength of this groups songcraft....an AMAZING number that's just so tender, sweet, with an AMAZING beat, just so intense..I adore this...amazing chorus too. Anything At All comes along next, and after opening with a rather lovely piano, then comes the beat, and the track is similar to the earlier numbers. I'm not a lover of the first rap, but I do rather enjoy the smoother chorus. City of Lights comes along next, and it's a relaxed, summery, mid-tempo, sunny pop piece - A great number, with some awesome effects and sounds - I do adore it!. Nice stuff.

Ten Weeks is a beautiful, Romantic-comedy soundtrack type track, with a fantastic R'n'B beat, awesome claps, some gorgeous electronic effects, and a really lighter, fun sound, and the piano is just awesome - It makes for a lovely listen :) Great stuff. Awesome beat too. Then comes the amazingly intense, and really deep, rocky explosion that is Lasers. A gritty, thumping intro gives way to a heavy, intense number that isn't my favourite, but I do actually enjoy the distorted nature of the track. Awesome stuff. After that, you kinda need a break, and mid-tempo, softer, piano-let Black & White is that moment. Even though it opens up into a rocky chorus, it's held together with a gorgeous vocal, fantastic vibe, and lovely sound. I do enjoy, and although it's not my favourite, it's a nice listen. The album closer is s Modern Gold. Opening with some retro sounding synths before falling into something that's a hybrid of Warm Days and P!nk's Mean, I'm not terribly keen on the track, something about it just doesn't quite do it for me, but I do enjoy it. It's nice stuff, but not for me.

I was introduced to Australian rock project "A Family Of Strangers" a while back through a supporter of the site, and only now am I getting a chance to review their EP. A side-project fronted by the Glenn Esmond, from The Butterfly Effect, the band has recently released an EP "New Techniques For Beginners And Champions". I'd love to know your thoughts, and you can pick up the release, and stream it, through the widget above.

Lovely (The House At Number 23) kicks things off, and it boasts and awesome dance intro, before exploding into quite a modern rock number that, aside from being a little too heavy for me, rock-wise, it's actually a great, melodic track with a great vocal, and a really nice feel. Then comes Don't Forget (03.03.03) which, again, actually works. It's a great listen, with an AWESOME vocal, fantastic set of spacey, airy stuff. An awesome beat, really does make for a nice listen. It'd be nice to see a bit more melody, and a little less heavy in the chorus - I still do like a lot though. Here Without You kicks off with the clicking of drumsticks, and actually is a more mid-tempo, softer rock number, in the vein of Daughtry or something similar. I do definitely enjoy and think it showcases the band at their best, and it's a bit more tender, and I think it could do big things for the group.

Silly Love Songs comes along next, and It's a mark back toward the first track on the EP, in sound...a little heavier, and a little less melodic, and even though it's harder than I'd prefer, it's got a certain edge and vibe to it, a bit of a life, and I do enjoy. It's not my favourite, but I do adore the chorus - Quite a lot. The Velvet Divorce (Follow) kicks off with an interesting, and very hard to place, sound, before morphing into quite a straight-forward rock-pop piece that I feel is just a bit "relaxed' and "meandering" for me..It's pretty enough, but just not my favourite. Farewell, Mr. Hooper is hard to describe. It's a hybrid of the first two tracks on the disc, a melodic, fairly heavy rock/pop piece, that's a mid-tempo swirling mass. I do enjoy, and I like the vocal, but all in all, it's feels like it's lacking...something, I'm not even sure what! - I'd love to know your thoughts though.

Themysticunderground - Pride Of St. Mark's EP - Review

I was introduced to Themysticunderground a while back now through a friend of the site, who suggested I give them a listen. They're an awesome band, I can't wait to hear some more from them - Above is the video for the track - Thoughts? If you enjoy, you can pick up aforementioned track (and entire EP actually...) on iTunes here, and check out the band's Tumblr page here.

The track, Pride Of St. Mark's, is actually a fantastically produced, over-the-top, clashy, piece, with everything from deep beats, clashy synths, synthy swooshes, electronic sounds - And some AMAZING synths in the chorus - It's really a heartwarming "unity" type track that really deserved better than a black-and-white video, in my opinion. But it's a lot of fun and makes for a fantastic listen, with the thumping beats, and that AMAZING chorus - Much love. Then comes the Pride Of St. Mark's (The Dark Esquire Re-Version). The length of the song is doubled, and the track is stripped back to a relentless electronic pulse beat, claps, and a more retro-sounding effect. I personally prefer the original, but this may appeal to some fans of the "indie" pop that's going around, if the original is too "mainstream" for them. I do much adore - and love the synth too. Then comes the Pride Of St. Marks (The Dark Esquire Re-Version Dub), which is very much like the aforementioned, however, it strips out most of the vocal, a move I'm not genuinely fond of, and don't support here either...It's good, and showcases the production value of the mix, but isn't my favourite. Then comes the B-side, April Fool's Day. I can't express how much I adore the musical intro here, and the effects, and although I adore the vocal, and the synths are nice, the beat is amazing, I'm not totally crushing on the heavier, brooding, imminent sound of the back synth - It just grates a little...Awesome track too otherwise! - Will definitely be keeping an eye out for more from them!

Sirpaul - Music & Me - Review

In the latest in a string of catch-up reviews, comes the most recent release from SIRPAUL. Quite an icon in the industry, he's got quite a bit of prolific output behind him, with quite a few albums, the most recent being this, Music & Me. It's a fantastic album, spreading over many genres in it's 12 tracks, and is well worth your time! Check out SIRPAUL's official website here, the album on iTunes here, or the above video (for Music & Me) for proof.

Don't Stop (Break The Beat) kicks things off with a retro-sounding synth set over a bouncy R'n'B beat, and although it doesn't quite have the same promise as the title, and although I do like SIRPAUL's vocal, the lyrics here do leave a bit to be desired, and although the Middle-8 is nice...The whole thing just doesn't really do it for me. Then comes the retro-electro-funk of Give It Up. Like a slightly darker version of something Jamiroquai might record..It's got a GREAT vocal that's treated awesomely, and although I'm not totally keen on the beat, I do like the chorus and the melodies here are nice, and great stuff..Could be a bit better, but I can live with it :) Then comes the bouncey, synthy, beat-driven perfection that is Music & Me, the title track. Sounding instantly familiar, yet strangely beyond categorisation, it's an awesome listen, with some great synths, and a fantastic vocal, and even though I'm not yet sold on the lyrics, it's just fun. And definitely worth it. Deal With The Devil comes along next, and it's a distorted, retro-sounding glitchy track that does recall Simon Curtis' 8-Bit Heart vibe, without reaching those same dizzying heights. It's nice enough, with a passable vocal, and a great lyric - but, again, the beat just doesn't do it for me..I'd love to hear this one layed over something like the Sugababes' Thank You For The Heartbreak beat...But not for me.

Colours comes along next, and it's a synthy mid-tempo ballady type thing that immediately made me think of both George Michael and Jamiroquai. It's, vocally, a high moment, and although the track is well produced, with it's wall of synths, and great electronic oscillation, but outside of that, I'm just not quite feeling the track..Love Taboo actually conjures memories of a funked/r'n'b'd up version of Maroon 5's She Will Be Loved, musically at least. Again though, given the heights of Music & Me, I'd love to hear this one go into heavier dance territory. Nice synths though. As If I needed to pray, U comes along and answers my prayers. A synthier, beat driven, dancefloor piece, with a great vocal, and an awesome sound - It's not my usual feel, reminding me a bit of Kylie's Fever years - but I do enjoy it. Don't like the spelling though. Press Rewind keeps things going into a sound that actually may mark my favourite on the album, an AWESOME oscillating dance beat, paired with a fantastic vocal, great lyrics, and just paired with that beat makes for a FANTASTIC moment, and possibly the strongest moment on the album.

Loser Lover marks the transition into the last few tracks on the album with it's interesting Hip-Hop intro, before falling into a different R'n'B sound that I can't quite place. It's not one of my favourites, but does have a bit of a charm about it. Then comes the gorgeous electronic swooshes, synths, and throbs of Digital World. An interesting one, as well, it's not a straight-forward dance track, instead a bit more glitchy, and a bit more beat based than I'd expect. Add a perfection middle-8, and the track does have a bit of a charm. Mistaken however, works it's charm easily, with a dark, distorted vocal, thumping beat that's absolutely relentless, a fantastic set of synths, and makes for an AWESOME listen, much adore! Shine is the album's closer, and it's a bit of an interesting one, after a beat that doesn't really captivate me, an AWESOME synth edges it's way into the track, and with some lovely effects (including one that reminds me so much of Madonna's Ray Of Light) the track is a bit of a last-hurrah, and does work rather well. It's a pretty track, and is just a bit of fun!

I've been really slack and behind in reviewing this one, getting around to it since before my exams last year :D Lola Dutronic are an International Electronic duo, who make some retro tinged, 80's vibed, synthy-electronic pop. Similar in vein to, say, Parralox. This Musique EP is a collection of remixes, and the above brand new track, and it's available on iTunes here - I'd really like to know your thoughts :D You can give the whole EP a listen on their MySpace here.

The My Disco (French Disco Remix) kicks things off, and even though it boasts an awesome back beat, that I just adore, the synths over the top of the track don't really do it for me, and the ever so slightly muffled vocals detract a bit from the track's sound..It's an interesting vibe, but the vocal just doesn't match the music, at least for me. After a music-box style introduction, the Brigitte Bardot (Retro Future Mix) falls into a R'n'B/pop/island mid-tempo ballady "thing". It's really rather hard to describe and quantify, and although I do like the feel of the track, and the story-telling sound, I'm just not quite feeling the track. It's not for me. Beautiful World (Slight Return) sounds like a part two, musically, of the previous remix, taking the same beat, and overlaying it with synths, and an extra beat line. It's not really for me either, pretty enough, with some lovely lyrics, but I'm finding it a bit hard to really "connect" with this one. I'm struggling to describe the The Stranger (Imaginary Bond Mix). I guess, if, say, Rihanna's Russian Roulette was crossed with Goldfrapp's Time Out From The World, that's how I'd describe this one, sparse electro, over an intense beat. Not really my favourite, pretty enough, but the light, airy synths aren't given nearly attention. It's pretty enough, but this style has only really worked for me in that previously mentioned Goldfrapp track...

Then comes what is, by far, my favourite track on the disc. A kicky, synthy, camp beat and sound are matched with a glorious french vocal in Chanson D'ete (Summer Of Love Mix). Rather difficult to describe, but I adore it. It's pretty, it's light, it's breezy, it works. Whisper, above, is another personal favourite of the EP, a delicate, light, flowy, electronic number, with a beautiful vocal that, just, WORKS. It's infinitely hard to describe, but it just does. Definitely worth a watch of the video...It's gorgeous :D The breathy vocal really makes it. The last track on the EP, the Best Years Of Our Lives (Electro Mix), actually does match the last two in brilliance. A bassy back beat is paired with a rather fun set of synths, and a pretty vocal, resulting in a sound that could EASILY make Goldfrapp very happy. A fantastic listen, it's a beautiful way to end the album :)

Her name is Tina. Her song is called So Good. And it is, So Good. Her Song also features Fat Joe. Released late last year, the track is an absolute MEGA THUMPER. A throbbing beat, awesome dance feel, killer eastern influences, awesome synths in the chorus, which just EXPLODES, I could easily hear this topping the charts in the middle of the Australian summer. I'm trying to find something to compare it too...maybe the Indian equivalent of Rihanna's Island pop crossed with Nicole Scherzinger's amazingness? Anyway, it's very hard to describe, and her beautiful vocal really does set the thing apart. Excited? YOU SHOULD BE. Introduced to me just before Christmas, Jasmine Hormez is going to be MOST CERTAINLY a girl to watch. Mixing R'n'B/Pop and Dance effortlessly, Jasmine takes it all on with one FIERCE vocal, and the looks of Penelope Cruz. Below is my track-by-track review of her EP, and you can find more out about Jasmine and her amazing music at her official website here. Above is an AMAZING album trailer, that I'd love to see more bands do..(Paul, I think you'd like it!), below is a compilation video. This girl is definitely one to watch, I CAN NOT WAIT to hear more from her :)

The EP kicks off with the awesome electronic-pop of Drummer Boy, a mid-tempo beat, with a killer set of synths, amazing gritty guitar, DIVA vocal, and great vibe and swag, but the whole thing? It really revolves around that BEAUTIFUL chorus, that just works perfectly! - So amazing, an AWESOME listen, and great way to kick it off! Then comes her seminal piece, The Rest Of My Story, a synthy-stabbed, r'n'b beat, downbeat, slightly dark story of empowerment, held together by Jasmine's perfectly controlled vocal, that you could easily lose control of and let fly, but she restrains it PERFECTLY! Not quite as fabulous as the previous, but up there. The glorious campy synthy opening of I'm Ready falls into the glistening, pulsating beat of the track, boosted by Jasmine's light, fun, flirty, warm and bubbly vocal that just works so well. Amazing chorus, this deserves to be HUGE! Then comes Rescue, a softer, more Pop-rock in vibe, the change in sound really suits her. It's a really sweet listen - I could see this soundtracking a rom-com, It's light, beautiful, pretty, downtempo, but sweet, actually brilliant, and really takes a little while to perfectly work you over, but it's up there. :)

Then comes my favourite of the set, that apparently, isn't getting a release. Quite possibly PERFECT, Runaway would sound perfect on Rihanna's new album...Opening with one awesome R'n'B beat, overlayed with Jasmine's gorgeous vocal and some great lyrics, before EXPLODING into one ALL-OUT shimmering, glittery, synthy showery spectacular chorus, and Jasmine just sounds absolutely PERFECT during it...Beautifully fabulous, and I really hope it doesn't remain (criminally) unreleased! How do you follow that? Well, in this case, with Be My You...a 90's-esque, early-00's Girl-Group R'n'B number, with one of those strutting beats that I ADORE!!!! Fierce verses, I'm just not totally crushing on the chorus just yet...Nice listen though :) Awesome vocal, and great strings too in the second verse. Then comes S.H.E, a swirling, darker, more traditional R'n'B ballad...I'm not totally feeling this track..It's nice enough, but just isn't totally hitting me...Nice vocal, and great lyrics, but just doesn't quite do it, musically, for me. Closing the disc off is the rather brilliant I'm Ready (Latin Remix). Taking the track out of the dancefloor and straight into the beach-party, the track is driven by an AWESOME guitar and great drum beat..It's really rather rhythmic, and suits the track just as well as the original. A fantastic listen, I'm crushing on this...It's gorgeous stuff :) Love the hand-claps and a fantastic listen...The chorus doesn't have quite the same "over-the-top" feel, but it's got more of a relaxed vocal sound, which really suits it.

DayBehavior - It's A Game - Review

I was first introduced to DayBehavior a while back now, and have been terribly late in writing about this until now...Their brand new single is titled "It's A Game", and like all good music, is swedish dance/pop and comes with a smattering of remixes. Anyways, read on for my thoughts, above for an endorsed fan-made video, and head on over here to purchase the track on iTunes.

It's A Game kicks off with it's awesome synthy throbs, electronic bassline, cool vocal and awesome chorus...Well produced, the track is rather futuristic, and makes for an interesting listen on a warm summers day..Much better suited to a cold winter night. It's a great listen, and marks an AWESOME new phase in the group's career. Then comes the It's A Game (Marsheaux Remix) which moves the track into synthier, swooshier territory...With a different bassline, the track is an interesting take on the original, definitely making it more gorgeous, with the synths, but doesn't quite hit the same spot with the bassline...Great chorus though, easy to get lost in. Closing off the EP is the It's A Game (Parralox Remix), which takes the track well and truly into the "indie electro" territory...I'm not totally feeling the vibe..It's pretty enough, with a light feel and great sound, but it just doesn't suit me...Exceptionally well produced..just not really my thing...Either way, I'd love to know your thoughts!

Olly Murs To Come Down Under!

So, it turns out that a certain, lovely 2009 X Factor UK Runner-Up is about to unleash his talent on Australia! Yup, Olly Murs is all set to release BRIT Award Nominated "Please Don't Let Me Go" upon the Charts. Available digitally now, the track is getting a push in the most recent Packed To The Rafters commercials, which have launched such tracks as Eric Hutchinson's "Rock & Roll" and Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" into the STRATOSPHERE. With an album release later this year, I'm rather excited for this one peoples :D - I'd love to know your thoughts!

I'm going to just throw it out there, that I have a bit of a soft-spot for Disney teen-pop idols...I'm a DIE HARD fan of Hilary Duff, Emily Osment, Ashley Tisdale and Selena Gomez & The Scene, and crush HARD on their music...having not a problem that many don't think I possess taste. Well, today, I'm going to introduce you all to another Disney star. Finding fame on Hannah Montana and Pair of Kings, Mitchel Musso has put out this 8-track album of rock/pop sounds, that makes for a great listen. You can give the album a look in here, and I'd LOVE to know your thoughts.

Get Away kicks the album off, and it's one of my favourites...A synthy, glittery, electronic rock/pop number with a really spacey, synthy feel..I love the vocal treatment, and the delicate vibe of the track just makes for a fantastic listen...A warm chorus makes for a great listen...Hard to describe, it's tender, light, glittery, electronic and sweet. I do like it a lot. Then comes Got Your Heart, which is a bit harder and rockier...A bit more edgier, it's, well, think Metro Station's Shake It...Not quite as brilliant as the previous track. I'm not crushing on this one...Celebrate comes along and it's a retro-tinged, dancey number...I'm rather enjoying this one..It's a fun track, with a great bassline...with a fantastic bridge too....An awesome chorus, makes for a fantastic listen..and this electro/rock/pop makes for a fantastic niche for Mitchel. You Got Me Hooked is liked a version of Got Your Heart, turned up harder..It's faster, harder, and more electronic and even though I do like it more..It just doesn't suit Mitchel that well, his vocal seems a little pressed, and even though it's a nice listen..I'm just not quite feeling it...

Just Go has a bit more of a Jason Mraz-esque vibe to it...which is an interesting turn...Lighter, soulful, it's just not what I expected...Giving it a listen, it's not quite a "showpiece"...but it's a nice "summery background music" track. An interesting one...Nice, but not my favourite. Empty takes Mitchel back to the spacey, synthy, shimmery dance/pop that works so well, at least in the intro, before falling into a more straight-forward rock/pop..It's an exhilarating number, with an awesome beat...but could just hit it a LITTLE bit harder...Nice listen though, I do enjoy! Come Back My Love is almost like a Good Charlotte track, in sound, vocal, and rhythm...A nice track, but it's not my absolute favourite. Nice chorus, with an AWESOME beat...but the rest of the track just doesn't quite do it for me...Interesting, but not my favourite...Open The Door is a bit of an interesting...A bouncey, dancier/poppier number, it's really hard to describe..It's nice, and makes a bit of a full circle to the opening track. I definitely enjoy it, but it's just a tough one to pin down. Still, I most certainly like it :) Definitely worth a listen, even if just for the nice synths and gritty guitar sounds :)

Introduced to me a while back now, by some fantastic friends of the site, Dancelicious is the first in hopefully a stream of brand new compilation sets...Set up specifically for the clubs, all the mixes on this release are full lengths, and make for a fantastic listen. If you're interested in a listen, you can pick up the tracks on iTunes here :)

First up comes my favourite of the release, and (incidentally) the second shortest mix, the Telephone (Kaskade Remix), mixing the Lady GaGa & Beyoncé track. A fairly simple beat is paired with glittering electronic sounds, some awesome synths, and Lady GaGa's AWESOME vocal, which just shines here...Gradually working in an awesome bassy beat makes for great fun. Then comes the 9 minute Sandcastle Disco (Freemasons Mix), of the Solange track. An awesome beat, FLAWLESS synths in the chorus great bassline, Solange's awesome vocal, and just a campy vibe does make for a fantastic listen - but the track does drag a little, and could have picked the pace up a litle bit, for me :) Then comes the Jungle-esque vibe of the Irreplacable (Ralphi Rosario Remix) of the Beyoncé mega-hit. Not personally my favourite, I'm not really adoring this - For me, the sound just doesn't do it for me, the vibe is a bit off, there isn't enough emphasis on the vocal (which really makes the track), and although the synths are nice..I'm not totally feeling the track :)

Then comes the I Decided (Mr. Mig Mix), of the Solange track. Another one I feel that could have done with a bit of a jolt, it is a nice listen but could have been a bit faster and more action packed..bassline is nice though, and the vocal really makes this number :) The comes the track everybody should know, love and adore, the Work (Freemasons Mix), by Miss Kelly Rowland. The track, I feel, that really started her dancefloor makeover, the track is an AWESOME piece, with a killer bassline, great synths, flawless vibe, great vocal, This version of the mix isn't my favourite, but It's doable...Makes the breakdown a little more gothic though...Then comes the last mix, the bouncing T.O.N.Y (DJ Escape Mix), of the Solange track. Now, I have lots of good to say about this track. A gorgeous vocal, fantastic synths, and a bassline that gets you out of your chair is really all you need...I'd have liked to hear this one go a little step darker, but this works for me too :) - A great listen, I do enjoy. Great synths too :) Fantastic stuff :)

Luke Armitage - Never Be Good For You - Review

So. Luke Armitage is awesome. Did you know this fact? Well, you do now. Introduced to me recently, the guy is not only an awesome guy to be around (and, well, to look at..let's be honest here :P), he makes FANTASTIC pop music. Mixing up lots of different styles and influences, Luke makes some fantastic pop music - With dance, soul, funk, hip-hop, R'n'B, Dubstep e.t.c sounds all showing up in his music..If you're interested...Watch the video for his BRAND NEW SINGLE - Never Be Good For You above, banned from TV!, and if you're interested...head on over to his Facebook and Twitter to get in contact, Here to purchase Never Be Good For You, and here to download his track "Long Story" completely free!

Never Be Good For You is a dancey, synthy, clashy, fun, awesome, rock-tinged number that's powerful and edgy, with an AWESOME vibe...really clashy raw sound...It's fantastic, and held together by Luke's fantastic vocal. A great listen, I'm certainly enjoying this one...With a killer breakdown toward the end, and a chorus that hooks your brain for days...How could you go wrong? Much love. The Sleep Paralysis (Rob Hales Remix), the B-side of the single, is an AWESOME thumpy, dubstep-influenced (or maybe that's just me?) dancey, distorted....thumping number that would work VERY well as a Adam Lambert track...With a great buildup, awesome bassline, fantastic vocal treatment, great vibe, and fantastic beat..It's hard not to love! With a great synthy breakdown, this is most certainly one for the clubs, and would work EXCEPTIONALLY well..Great stuff...much adore :)

McKendree - McKendree Mania: Vol. 2 - Review

I've been a bit of a fan of Country turned Pop star McKendree on the site for a while now, and even had a WORLD EXCLUSIVE release of Maniac, one of the tracks from the brand new album! Well, today, I'm privileged to share my thoughts of the brand new album from McKendree, McKendree Mania Vol. 2, due for release very soon! - I'll share my track by track thoughts with you below :) In the meantime, check out his official website!

An interesting quirk to start off the album is Gayatri (Short Mantra Ohm), a mystical chant, reminiscent of meditation prayers, layered over a thumping dance drum...I'm not sure what to make of it...but it's interesting, nonetheless...Then comes Country Back, which kicks off as a Country track (from McKendree), before exploding into a glitchy, fun, snipe at Country music and it's nature...Amazing lyric, fantastic dance beat and just a great vibe...Love it :) Much love it! Then comes the first of a few intros, that would make a great track if combined, the summery Sand In My Socks. Great little melody...Little Boy follows, and it's an interesting one...a bit dancier, with a fantastic R'n'B beat, that makes for a slightly unnerving listen - But I do like it....McKendree's vocal is fantastic, and it's growing on me...I like it! After another Sand In My Sockz interlude...comes my personal favourite of the album...Maniac. Sampling Michael Sembello's hit of the same name, the track is a throbbing, electronic, gritty vibe that really keeps his fantastic, fun vibe going that is just a lot of fun...A great listen, with a fantastic beat, updates the original track well, in a similar way to how Dolly Parton's Jolene was given the update treatment...If you're interested....Head on over here for more information as to how you can download the track totally free!

After the slightly strange, but fantastic, The Amazing McKendree Tube, that makes for an interesting interlude...comes the AWESOME Hip Hop Hoppin', as on the first album, Christina Maloney steals the show here, in a fantastic street sound that's actually awesome - and with a great half-whisperedvocal, and infectious beat...It's hard to describe, but it's one that I just adore...and I'd love to hear Kylie sample the lyrics from the first chorus...AWESOME stuff. I'd love to hear the girl go solo :) Dangerous comes along next, and it's a faster, more relentless, harder beat than before..With an AWESOMELY deep bassline, and intense electronic sound - Paired with an a fantastic vocal..It's a very dark, heavy, but rather awesome track..I Wanna Party comes along next, with an awesome string intro that falls then into a great, tight beat, with some awesome sound that could pass as McKendree's response to Madonna's Hollywood, it's fun, with some great synths, and a great beat..It works, but it's not a particularly MINDBLOWING piece, but pop doesn't have to be :) Then comes Zap That Twat, a tool I could use :) Followed by Jump On This, possibly the sexiest track on the disc. McKendree purrs his way over a dark, seductive, gritty, but intense beat that's just HOT. It's actually burning up, and can make for quite smoking listen...Amazing stuff. Then comes the HILARIOUS Husbandry Hot Spot, that is actually hilarious....I love this, quite a lot more than I should...Ganesha (Hyper Ohm) closes the album in a similar way that in which it opened, with a chanted vocal over a synthy dance beat...I'm not totally crushing on this...but it's growing on me..And awesome concept though, similar to Madonna's Ray Of Light vibe...Great stuff. Bring on Volume 3!

Introducing.....Erika Fatale!

Her name is Erika Fatale. Her music is incredible. Introduced to me recently by a fantastic friend of the site...Erika Fatale is going to most certainly make some waves in the music industry this year. A fantastic, fusion of pop sounds with soul vibes, dance, r'n'b and almost some jazzy influences are held together by Erika's powerful, commanding and almost sinful vocal. It's absolutely luscious, and I can not urge you all enough to give her a listen and a look in. Read on for some thoughts on her individual tracks that are floating around, with her MySpace here, Facebook here and Twitter page here.

Femme Fatale kicks things off, as a sexy, dark, thumping Pop/R'n'B number, with a trick that could sit perfectly on Jessie James' debut (vocal, musically and all). A synth tinged chorus really exemplifies the fantastic vocal performance here, and with the pop vibe, just makes for a fantastic listen. Much love. Liquid follows, and it's a much more campy, dance/pop hybrid that I'd actually adore hearing Britney, Cheryl Cole or Kylie take on. It's most certainly of that class. Dark, layered, but uplifting, fantastic, with an awesome vocal, a goosebump inducing bridge, and a flawless chorus...How could you not adore? With such a temptation there, Erika doesn't even oversing it :) Whipped comes along next, and it's a little less of my favourite, but it's still fantastic. An edgier, rock, influenced, harder R'n'B/pop number with one HUGE vocal, absolutely FIERCE! - A fantastic listen, with a great synth set, and awesome sound - I love it :) A great listen, much adore! That Naïve comes along next, and it's most definitely one of my favourites of the set. A delicate piano introduction, showclassing Erika's world-class vocal gives way into a fierce, Christina Aguilera sounding, awesome thumper. I do ADORE this track, with a fantastic sound, a fierce vocal, awesome chorus, great vocal rhythm and awesome instrumentation make for one great listen. Then comes Troublemaker, a track I actually can't remember massively clicking with, but one that I still enjoy. Listening back now, the track boasts an awesomely streamlined, sexy bassline, fantastic beat, and when it hits the chorus, it all comes flooding back. Awesome vocal, fantastic synths, and just a great vibe - A track that I just adore! And last up is a sparse, electro-tinged, r'n'b, infinitely hard to describe cover of what I thought, until today, was the Sugababes Too Lost In You. I could imagine this stopping the show on an Idol/X Factor situation, but it hasn't totally clicked just yet, but very nearly...It's actually quite dark, almost evil, and makes for a fantastic listen :)

Straight Up - It Gets Better

The boys from Straight Up! are back with a brand new track (ALWAYS EXCITING NEWS!) - another of their fabulously flawless pop numbers, with a sexy twist, the boys continue their streak of fantastic tracks, It Gets Better is actually a serious track, and it's an empowering, comforting number joining the growing chorus of the social campaign. A light, fun, bouncey dance beat, with some fantastic synths marks a bit of a different direction - a lot more serious - from the previous output from the group, it's a welcome change, and sits alongside their other output just as fantastically, and may be the best "It Gets Better" track I've heard, and could EASILY become an anthem for LGBTI Youth the world over....Flawless stuff, and I can not wait to hear more from the guys - You can give the track a listen for yourself over at the band's MySpace here, or Facebook here.

I've been attempting to review Emma Dean's "Dr. Dream + The Imaginary Pop Cabaret" for quite a while now, but somehow, until today, I've not had an opportunity to get it down. But, here it is! Introduced to me a while back now by a fantastic friend of this site, Emma Dean's second album is a fantastic collection of quirky, cabaret-tinged pop music. Her sophomore release, this album is available on iTunes here...I'd love to know your thoughts!

Emma Dean Meets Dr. Dream kicks off the album, with a fantastic vocal sample, before the track falls into a slightly unnerving, cabaret piece that's actually really rather showy. It takes a while to hit the sound that actually works really well, with some awesome piano work, that I just adore! Great Chorus. Bigger Than You Bigger Than Me is a fast paced, skittish, fun, bouncy, and rather quirky number that works rather brilliantly...It's bound together by Emma's fantastic vocal, and great lyric, and it shouldn't work, but it actually does, really well. Sincerely Fearful is one of the album's "showpieces", showcasing the sound and style, that makes for a great listen. A gorgeous vocal, awesome lyrics, a fantastic rhythm, great sound and styles and just purely gorgeous..I love it! Stuck In The Mud follows, and it moves from a beautiful, but soft ballad, into an absolutely exquisite, tender, beautiful, swirling ballad that's absolutely amazing! A gorgeous listen, and I just adore it. Tender, emotional and powerful...Flawless. Great breakdown too. Thieving Hearts comes along next, and it's a plodding ballad, but it just doesn't have quite the same effect on me as I feel like It should...It's pretty, but I don't totally adore it..Nice, but not my favourite.

Thunder is a pretty, romantic mid-tempo that lifts the mood, and makes for a lovely listen, that I have only just realised. Delicate, but very pretty....and absolutely gorgeous...Fantastic lyrics too...A lovely romantic track. Sharks (In My Pool) opens with a clean, clear and crisp piano sound, but as it goes on, sadly it doesn't quite keep me as magnetised as it did before...It's pretty, with gorgeous lyrics, but the whole track just doesn't quite do it for me...Nice, but not my favourite...Something They Can Hold kicks off with a delicate heartbeat, and continues delicately, a tender, soft, emotional, almost broken ballad that makes for a beautiful, tender, emotional moment. Emma's vocal and musicianship skills shine, but sadly it's not actually my favourite, but is growing on me...No! kicks off in attention-grabbing, theatrical style, and rightly so, sounding like Bigger Than You Bigger Than Me Pt. 2, it's intense, fun, bouncy, but it doesn't quite work the same as I feel like it should, and is good, but just doesn't quite get me. I Keep On Losing Myself is the album closer, an interesting, off-kilter, dramatic, theatrical mid-tempo that I enjoy, but haven't crushed on...It's OK, but not my favourite...I prefer the earlier moments...I like it though...

Matt Palmer - Let Go - Review

I know I'm OBSCENELY late on this one, and I apologise wholeheartedly, but I'm glad that I finally got a chance to actually share my thoughts on one of the more promising R'n'B debuts of last year. Matt Palmer is a fantastic new R'n'B/Pop sensation, think early Craig David, and Let Go is his debut release. A fantastic collection of tracks, all infused with fantastic grooves and awesome beats, makes for a fantastic listen. The album is on iTunes here, give it a go, I'd love to know your thoughts!

Diamond Love kicks things off, and it's a sweet favourite with an awesome beat, great synths, fantastic vocal and great lyrics that I could EASILY hear hitting the upper regions of the Australian charts, with the right push. Very sweet, it's actually really rather gorgeous, and the chorus is what makes it for me! Let Go reminds me of a slightly darker, more melodic Forever by Chris Brown - with an awesome beat, it's a glittery electronic-pop hybrid that makes for a fantastic listen and it's great to just float away with. Lovesick marks a MUCH heavier, grittier, harder-hitting sound, with an amazing bassy beat...I'm actually not loving on the verses, but the Chorus is making me love, hard, on the track. Hold Onto My Hand almost sounds like something I'd hear on a Leona Lewis album, happily, actually. It's awesome, with a great electronic synth, beautiful vocal, awesome beat, and fantastic chorus...Much loves.

Fall For You is an interesting one, merging downmood electronic synths with a beautiful chorus, awesome beats, and a fantastic message. I'd actually really love to hear this one as a single, I think it'd do rather well actually...A fantastic vocal really carries this one.. :D Rain is a bit more organic, with emphasis on a simple hand-clap beat, strumming guitar and beautiful piano - plus a few more synthy flourishes in the chorus. It's rather beautiful, and is fantastic. Then comes the "showpiece" of the album, a synthy, clappy, beaty updating of Sophie B. Hawkins' masterpiece Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover. Actually gorgeous, the track is fantastic, and instantly familiar, but suits the album brilliantly...A fantastic cover, I'd love to hear this version covered as a duet. Come Back To Me just feels a little less "punchy" than the rest of the tracks, and almost a little samey and redundant as some of the others..It's sweet, but just not my favourite....Nice enough though.

Six Whole Days is actually beautiful. A gorgeous number, with a great beat, fantastic vocal rhythms, and just a flawless sound. A great vibe, really rather summery, and it's just sweet...Much likes. I Wish basically runs as Six Whole Days (Part 2), almost the evening mix, it's still summery, but it's got more of a sexier, slinkier vibe, that works just perfectly...I do adore it. Lovely, with a fantastic chorus, swoony adorable stuff, I love it, a heap....Gorgeous synths...Hard to describe, but awesome. Float Away follows, and it's a synthy, dreamy, gorgeous intro which leads into a bouncy beat that just sounds a little bit generic to me, it's nice, but not my favourite. Love the bridge, but not crushing on the track as a whole...The album closer is the flawless Is He The Reason? - An AWESOME, deep beat, fantastic electronic elements, a fantastic vocal, amazing sound, a sad chorus, fantastic production and beautiful sound make for an awesome album closer that could easily top the charts! - Fantastic stuff, a must listen!

I know I'm horribly behind on this, but amazing things take time, and to try and fully digest the beauty that is Elouise's second EP, Stardust Melodies...takes time! - A bewitching trio of covers, Elouise is making me DIE for an album here (preferably a double album, one of her perfect tunes in this style, and one of massive dance tracks ;P), and again, it's a sophisticated, beautiful, spellbinding collection of magical musical moments that you MUST listen to! Also gorgeous is the CD's presentation, a beautiful cover, and just magical...Congrats to everybody involved there! The disc can be purchased through Elouise's beautiful website, here.

Stardust kicks things off, and it's a VERY theatrical number, showcasing Elouise's charismatic, GORGEOUS Broadway-worthy vocal that's just mindblowing. As for the rest of the track, I feel actually really horrible in saying that, even though I adore the vocal, and LOVE the lyrics...the track hasn't quite 'clicked' with me yet...It's growing on me, but I the track just feels a little disjointed to me, so not my favourite, but still, absolutely amazing! Then comes the SECOND best version of The Winner Takes It All, by ABBA, that I've ever heard (Kylie and Dannii Minogue have that honour). A delicate, breathy, emotional, absolutely flawless vocal from Elouise, that gets better with every listen, is paired with an amazing instrumental - Layered, delicate but fantastic - With some amazing strings, flourishes, drums...just perfection...(Claps to Steve Anderson) One FANTASTIC crescendo - Angsty and delicate, beautiful, melancholy and epic, just amazing. And then, by some amazing feat of pure perfection, Elouise tops that, with the absolutely gorgeous You'll Never Walk Alone. It actually sends me into a blissful fit, complete with rolling goosebumps, tears in my eyes, and shivers down my spine - It's actually beautiful, heartwarming, uplifting, amazingly delivered, with a SHOWSTOPPING vocal, and awesome production and strings...absolutely amazing. Simply must be heard to be believed. This is all the evidence I need to know that Elouise will be one of the world's great songstresses VERY very soon!

Radio Ink - Physical - Review

I trust you all had a suitably awesome new year?

Already established here on my site, my first post in 2011 is one of my biggest musical tips - Radio Ink. An AWESOME Australian dance-pop band - They are just totally fabulous in every possible way....and hearing their BRAND SPANKING NEW single, Physical is a fantastic experience! - Picking up some favour in Australian radio, rightly, the track is awesome - and comes with a bunch of fabulous mixes - Highly recommended! I'd love to know your thoughts - The EP is on iTunes here - Bring on an album! They are one of a handful of Australian bands that I absolutely adore, and am wishing MASSIVE things for!

Physical kicks things off with it's gorgeous shimmery summery synths, and sounds reminiscent of a rocked up "Wish U Were Here", by the group. An awesome lyric, fierce and fabulous, is paired with an AWESOME, gutsy vocal delivery, just makes for a fantastic track, and that anthemic chorus? - Fabulous! The Physical (Gloves Remix) comes along next, and layers some synthy stabs over a funky beat...It's not quite as fantastic as the original, but I like it. Following that, the Physical (STA Remix), which strips out a lot of the synths, replacing instead with a more minimal, bassy beat, some electronic stabs, but leaves some beautiful synths behind the chorus, and I love it! The Physical (Moonchild Remix) comes along next, and it's a bit more of an in-your-face, loud mix, with a feel of some of the better Moto Blanco mixes I've heard. A fantastic track, an awesome, airy summer mix - I do adore...Closing this disc is the VERY retro, 80's reminiscent Physical (Muffin Remix), which basically sounds like a 80's production, layered over a deep, modern, throbbing beat, and it's great - Much like. Fantastic stuff, highly recommended!

Well, It's a prestigious award - and a big one. But it's not just "one". The list I've got for you below, is the best 200 songs that've been released on an album of some sort in 2010. Now, there are some tracks missing, and there's bound to be some tracks that I've stuffed up their rankings - plus remixes aren't allowed in - but they really are kinda arbitrary. I have amazing friends, amazingly understanding friends too. I've had such a busy time in the last few months, that many CD's have slipped through the cracks. This has been one of them. I've been dying to get a review, and now I've finally stolen some time, I will remedy this Mistake. Moontalking is one of the first few releases from KinGem Records, a brand new pop/italo/indie/AWESOME label that I love! - Definitely check out their website, http://www.kingemrecords.com. This release is one of the earliest on the label, and is available on iTunes here. Adore the concept notes too!

Left Off kicks off the album with a gritty, spacey intro of sorts, and I'm not crushing hard on it, but it's bearable :D We Are Animals is the first proper track and it's a rather sweet synthy intro, with a gorgeous vibe, and a real sweet feel, and an amazing beat, hybridising great beats with rock rather well. It's pretty enough. Not perfect, but I do like it. Rock In The Empire came along next, and it's a little more polished than the past...interesting sound, I do rather enjoy it! - A little rocky for me, but It's bearable. Manga Nurse comes along next, and it's back to the We Are Animals sound - a hybrid of synths and rock, but this one is a lot less pop, and rather gritty sound, that I'm not sure totally how I feel about yet...It's OK, but not perfect. I'm not totally sold on it. Lust For Clubs comes along next, and it's got a feel of the "rock band in the corner of the bar" about it...I do rather like it actually. Uptempo, bouncy, with a darker seductive vocal that's more of a growl...I rather enjoy this one :D Unfuzz Days is just a sweet, light, transient, floaty, wispy, pretty number that I really rather adore, and think is absolutely gorgeous, and has something strangely beautiful about it!

A Great Indie Night is an interesting one...Following on that same vibe, there is something strangely sweet about it, and I don't feel like I should like it, but I really do! It's pretty, a light number, and just very romantically lovely :D I Would Say is a beautiful number, a spacey, ethereal, tender, beautiful dance tinged electro ballad, that I'd love to here produced up and released as a duet...It's beautifully gorgeous, and I just adore it! The Smiths And The Cure is an interesting rocky synthy number, that I'm not 100% totally sold on. I love the refrain, and the vocal, but something about it is interesting. I adore it, and it's growing on me! Moontalking comes along next and it's a lo-fi, delicate, beautiful, tender and the concept is just so beautifully romantic! - Some gorgeous moments. The Lust For Clubs (Reprise) comes along next, with a interesting sound, not so in love with this take as I am with the other one, but still like :D Plain Little Game comes along next, and it's an interesting one. A little clashy, a great beat, an interesting sound but I do rather like it! - It's pretty, but something about it just isn't doing it for me...Has a real Bruce Springsteen vibe. Fog is the closer, an uptempo, blasting, awesome beat, dance pop sound - I just adore. Rocky, edgy, gritty, fun, hard and heavy...Adore!

Sir Castanon & Nick Hagelin

Two new acts for you this Christmas week!

The first is Sir Castanon. Just there is the video for his brand new single, Puppeteer, from his debut album, of which I'll review soon! The song is amazing, slinky, dark, thumping electro-pop, R'n'B, and the video is amazingly theatrical, with some AMAZING choreography, and quite possibly the best dance breakdown I've ever seen. Cross Adam Lambert, Adam Tyler, Britney Spears and Janet Jackson - and you're in the right domain. Now, here's the kicker. The kid is 13. And he's already so fabulously amazing!!!! - I'm so jealous!!!!!!!!! - There are HUGE things in this Kid's future...Mark my words!

Nick Hagelin - ICU by ThinkTank Digital

The other one is one I've wanted to write about for a while now. It is the AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING I'M LOST FOR WORDS MINDBLOWING debut single from Nick Hagelin! The first of some amazing new stuff to come, ICU kicks off as a beautifully floating synthy epic, reminiscent of Radio Ink's Wish U Were Here, before exploding into an awesome beat number just perfect to dance to! - I can not wait to hear more from this guy, he's just AMAZING! - Some light, floaty, shimmery summery pop that I just adore!

Straight Up - XXXmas At The Disco

The sexy boys from Straight Up (can I say that?) have done it again! Sweden's most hilariously camp and amazing duo have teamed up for a brand spanking new Christmas song, and in keeping with the vein of their previous tracks, XXXmas At The Disco is a hilariously camp, absolutely infectiously dancey track, with amazing lyrics, a killer beat, and a gorgeous chorus - ADORE IT! Coming from Sweden, you know it's Electropop of the highest quality! Amazing synths, and just pure brilliance!

Le Vice - Le Vice - Review

Ok, this has been a long time coming, by my review of this San Francisco group's debut is a dark, electronic, poppy collection that makes for some fantastic stuff - I really like! - Anyway, check it out on iTunes here, and read on for my thoughts!

Le Vice kicks things off, and it's a dark, throbbing, electro, distorted, synthy stomper. Rather trippy, with some amazing french samples, I'm loving it! It's a little sparse for me though, with a little less direction than I usually like, but it's a good listen regardless! For those strings and that beat alone, it gets points. Say A continues the album on, and it's a retro tinged, hip/hop dance pop hybrid that makes for an interesting listen - It's a good listen, but I'm not totally feeling it, something about it doesn't feel quite right to me. Hard 2 Be Ill continues the album on, and it's a disco tinged dance/pop rap number that I do adore - It's an interesting listen, with an amazing chorus, and vocal rhythm - Just works fantastically! Why Fight is the next one, and it's a typical track for the sound, which, is starting to sound a little samey by this stage, to me at least. It's not my favourite on the album - A little to indie/synthy for me, but it's OK, Nice lyrics. Uh Huh kicks off with a rocky, organic drum beat that's rather flirty, and a lot of fun - A great vibey ryhthm, that I just adore. I could dance for quite a while to this one - I'm not loving hard on the chorus, but it's a good listen!

Jack Move comes along next, and it kicks off with a rather anthemic guitar, but as the track plays along, it's gone some synthy sounds that, for some odd reason, just aren't playing nice with me much at all! I do like the chorus, but the rest of the track isn't enough for me to crush on. Nice, but not my favourite. 2 O'Clock is the long "opus" of the album, and it's not really one I'm feeling. A bit repetitive, samey and just grinding to me, I'm just not really feeling it. It's OK, and I can see how people do, but it's just not for me. Everytime has the same thing about Why Fight that I feel - Yes, it's electro, but it's a little too indie, and not quite melodic enough for me to click with. I'm just not feeling it...does that make much sense? She Wanna is the album's absolute standout - A dark, throbbing, electronic, distorted, beat filled, hot call to the dancefloor with an AMAZING bassline, hot as all get out! ADORE IT! It does lose some of it's energy as it goes on, but I do like it!. Shy Guy is the glittery synth/pop funky album closer, which I do like. It's not my favourite, but makes for an interesting listen - I like the chorus, and the rocky vibe, and I can see this growing on me even more than before - It's a great track, with a fantastic vocal! Great stuff, but does run too long for my liking.

My only advice to Le Vice is to, for me at least, move it a little poppier next time, and I will go nuts for it!

They may be an interesting looking group of guys, but Research Material do make some fantastic music! Shimmering synthy pop music, it's fantastic, but how about I get on with reviewing Dictated By Design, their brand new EP?! It's available on iTunes here.

All Year Round kicks off the album, and it's a synthy, rock-pop hybrid, sounding like something I'd Imagine Owl City taking to the top of the charts in Winter. It's a fantastic track, with a great instrumental. A big barnstorming chorus, with some swooshy and syntyh swipes makes for a fantastic listen - All up, one to love! Then comes, The Sun, a bit of a snyth backed r'n'b number. It's a beautiful track, with a great sound, that I adore, but something about it isn't quite connecting with me. A nice chorus, with a gorgeous strumming guitar, but it's fantastic - Great stuff overall! I'll Be True To You is almost like a guitar track overlayed across the top of an early 00's R'n'B beat, which I'm not sure totally works. It's an interesting listen. I think I like it, but it's not quite smooth as I'd like....Nice vocal though, and great chorus double beat. The last track on the EP, Secrets, is my absolute favourite. A beautiful, delicate, guitar ballad, backed by a crashing, crunching R'n'B beat, makes for a fabulous listen! - Great stuff! A gorgeous electronic bassline beefs up the chorus, and all up, makes for just pure fabulousness...Totally love! Much adore :D - I'd love to know your thoughts!

Jonas Oakland - Point Of No Return

So, exams hey? - They've drawn this site to an absolute halt, and sapped all my energy, but they are now OVER! - Yes, I am now free - YIPPEE!!! - And, now, even though my life is still just as insanely busy as it was before, Imma get to ripping through some CD's I've been meaning to review for literally ages now, and Imma try and share my thoughts of other stuff too - soonish and whenever I can get my energy and motivation to come together! :D (Which, admittedly isn't very often...:( )

Mr. Jonas Oakland is an amazing Swedish pop-star, think a hybrid of Alcazar and James Leon, who makes some absolutely amazing dance/pop music, as one would expect given his place of residence, and this is his brand new EP - Featuring a killer new single, and two fantastic other pieces, it's one fantastic collection of music...Read on for my thoughts on each individual track, but in the meantime. With each of these tracks available on iTunes here, Hope you enjoy! Below, before my thoughts start, I've got a teaser of the Point Of No Return track :D How this guy isn't signed is beyond me!

First up on the EP, incidentally, is Point Of No Return. A rather Alcazar'y one, with a great sophisticated dance beat, some fantastic synths layered over the top, a fantastic vocal, but a brilliantly edgy guitary-bassy synth that I love, before exploding into the chorus with a fantastic oscillating beat, amazing synth that's tweaked a little from the first, the track stays dynamic and sounds FANTASTIC! Great stuff, much adore...Beat Of My Heart follows, and it's a lot more "schlager" than the previous - A very hands in the air sound, gorgeous vocal, amazing synths, just so fantastic - It's hugely camp, and I just ADORE it! A fun, light, synthy, beautiful, shamelessly glittery, shimmery masterpiece! Then comes my absolute favourite on the disc, incidentally, Where I Belong. A ethereal, spacey, but gorgeously uplifting upper mid-tempo electro-pop hybrid ballad, it's just beautiful....With a fantastic synthy chorus, and Jonas' perenially amazing vocal, how could you possibly go wrong? A fantastically gorgeous one, much adore, with some beautiful synthy beats! - Love!

I've written about J. Lewis on the site before, and If you read that one, you'd know I'm a MASSIVE fan of his work! - After sending us all nuts with his first single, J is back with this above! - And although the girls aren't doing much for me...He's GORGEOUS ;) - Anyway, amazing track, fantastic beat, hypnotising lights in the video, amazing dancing and a great sound - Much loves :D Fantastic hook too! - Thoughts? I NOW WANT AN ALBUM!

I have and always will adore the music of one Mr. James Leon! A brilliantly fantastic electro-popper from the UK, his early stuff is brilliant and his recent single "Purple Heart" sends me nuts with love, everytime I hear it. Now, we've got another one to add to that list! - A floaty, glittery, synthy, fun, beatiful number that I could hear Kylie take to the top of the charts on the album. Great coming into an Australian summer, it's got a beautiful cool vibe, and James' vocal is getting more fantastic on each listen! Great beat, I do just adore it! Available here, the band has just unleashed their Encounter Remixed album on Amazon, and it's beautiful! Highly recommended from me is the fantastic Digital Dog Radio Mix of Dragons. I will put aside my two massive reservations about this CD: 1. Namely that Telephone didn't make the CD, and 2. Chord Overstreet, Jon Stamos, Jayma Mays & Darren Griss don't appear on the (admittedly awesome) cover for the CD, to report that the brand new Glee Season 2: Volume 4 CD is about to get release. Now, these always work me into a frenzy, and this one is no less. The brand new release follows in the footsteps of the Rocky Horror Glee Show release, and is released on November 26th (when posting should return to normal on the site :P :D), a week after the Christmas album! - I'm so excited - Look below at the awesome tracklisting!

Halloween Swim Team have just recently been introduced to me by a fantastic friend and supporter of the site, they've just released their brand new single "Pitch Black", available on iTunes here. The first of 6 EP's set for release, Antennaaa.i combines new tracks, rarities and live recordings, and makes for a great listen! Anyway, read on for my thoughts, and on release - Be sure to pick up the EP, and check out the band's website here...

Forced Fields kicks things off, and it's an interesting one, lead by a pseudo-marching band beat (yet synthesised), and overlayed by some swirling electro synths. Rather clashy and a little disconnected, I'm not totally sure if this track is one for me, but I do think it's well worth at least one listen :D I'd love to know your thoughts. Love the synthy stabs towards the middle of the track. Pitch Black continues the interesting Lo-Fi vibe of the EP, with a great sound, I'm loving it. After a melancholic opening, the track explodes into some joyous synths, it makes for a fun one...Grows on you with each listen. Then Thin Airlines (Live) follows, and it makes for a fantastic listen. I'd love to hear a studio version. A little more melodic, a little softer, a little more melancholic - It's a fantastic track....Great stuff! Closing is the amazingly intense, relentless, motivational electro beat of Country First (Ghouliez Remix). A throbbing, 8bit, chip-tune almost stomper, I do rather like the synths and the effects here, makes for a fun listen, and the throbbing distorted beat only emphasises that! - Great stuff...I love it :D

So, I'm going to preface this review by saying that It's been a long time coming, but it's super, duper exciting! - Bradley Say is an up and coming London based Electro/Pop/R'n'B artist who has been making waves online and in the real world recently. This, his debut album, Seeing Red, is ready for release on the world, and he should be very proud of this, because it's rather amazing. Anyway, soon to release a brand new single, my thoughts on the album are below. Head on over to his official MySpace to find out some more about Bradley if you're interested, it's totally worth it!

Say What? kicks things off with it's futuristic, dampened synths and dark, sexy beat. It's got a really hypnotic quality, and throw in Brad's fantastic vocal and the bouncy bassline, I just adore this one. As much as I like the chorus, it's just not the track I'd have started the album off with, but it's a great "slow-burner". You Can't Keep Up follows and it's another electro-number that reminds me SO much vocally of KE$HA's Take It Off, I actually love to hear her cover this. Amazing chorus, I just adore this one, with a fantastic beat, great electronic sound and just a vibe that I love. Then comes the rather dramatic, but a bit of a personal favourite, Killed Your Ego. Sounding like something I'd love to hear on a Darin album (It would have worked well on Lovekiller :D), it's a hybrid R'n'B/Dance hybrid with a fantastic vocal, some fantastic synths, a spacey sound that I just adore, amazing chorus and really danceable feel, I rather love it. Great stuff, I just rather adore it! Then it's backed up with the rather retro synth vibe of Murderer. I do like this one, but something about it just doesn't work quite as well for me. Personally, I'd have loved a bit more of a four-to-the-floor dark dance track for the lyric, but hey, whatever works :D. Again, fantastic chorus, actually redeems the song more than enough in my eyes, Much loves :D Then comes rather country guitar intro of Showdown, which explodes very quickly into a skittish R'n'B number. Rather energetic, this one just goes OFF when it hits the chorus - An explosion of synths and amazing lyrics, Brad's vocal can get lost at times, but it's a great listen that I'd imagine would work fantastically live. Love the breakdown of the track a lot.

Then comes the first "quasi-ballad" of the disc, which reminds me of something, but I can't quite place it. A beautiful listen, with Brad's vocal front and centre, a fantastic listen, Not Good Enough is up next. With a gorgeous middle-8, and some fantastic piano work - I do rather like it! Love love :D Then comes Alter-Ego which has a bit of a retro feel to it, and I can't quite place what it reminds me of, but it does remind me of something. I like it, with such an amazing sound, how could you not? Again, fantastic stuff, with an amazing chorus/middle-8, It's a great listen, but it's not my favourite on the disc :D Wasted has an amazing charm to it that I just adore! With a great chorus, fantastic music which is a hybrid of reggae, cabaret and r'n'b, it just works Oh so well. I rather adore it! Hard to describe, but I do love it, some fantastic vocals too, some of the more commanding moments on the album. Raising The Bet follows and opens with an interesting synth, before falling into a 90's instrumental and beautiful vocal rhythm that sounds familiar, but I can't quite place it. Either way, it's a great listen, a more spring-time listen, with a fantastic vibe that I synthy chorus to be rather proud of! Then my personal favourite on the album, the kinda sparse, fast, amazingly rhythmic vocal number Trippin' Up In My Shoes. With a fantastic instrumentation, AMAZING chorus, great lyric, just a fantastic listen - I rather adore this track and find it hard to not love :D Much love! Lastly, a bonus track, a cover of the David Guetta Feat. Akon hit Sexy Chick, which Bradley handles more than satisfactorily, and his little flourishes here and there keep it interesting and exciting! I rather adore it! - Great way to finish off the album too!

Hailing from the Glorious national capital of the United States, The Vita Ruins are kinda hard to describe as a band. An Indie pop/rock pair, think EXCEPTIONALLY anthemic Coldplay, crossed with Armin Van Buuren, and you are somewhere near the band's sound. Godspeed To That Polytheist kicks off the album with a distorted, slightly unnerving, but rather wonderous, speech snippet, before opening into a rather Coldplay-esque number, that's just a rather pretty listen. I can't say a heap more about it, I'm not sure what to say, but I do like it :D Distorted vocals work rather well, and the drum makes for an interesting listen that I do like. Seven Suns is the track that follows, an uptempo, distorted dance/rock hybrid with some amazing bass and just a great sound - I do like it, and something tells me this track would be big, but It's not quite my favourite, if I had to make a call....The Purpose Of Life opens with a gorgeous guitar sound that's rather hopeful and sunny. A gorgeous listen that's really rather anthemic and just floaty and gorgeous - It's hard not to adore it! - I most certainly do! - Fantastic stuff, it's just a killer, that works OH so well :D Amazing stuff, rather opus as well. All The Kids Must Be Sleeping Follows, and opens with a distorted scream before exploding into a relentless guitar, Similar to my thoughts on Seven Suns, I'm not sure if I'm feeling the heavy, hard stuff....It's not really my favourite of the tracks, but there may (will) be some love for it out there. Griggs' Diagnosis opens with a sound suggesting another all out electronic thumper, however, and gladly, It's not - It's a softer, darker, I'm going to say Trippier, but I'm not sure that's it, take on a Coldplay track, that I could easily say make an album record. It's an interesting listen, but I'm not totally sold on it. It's pretty, but my favourite? No. sadly.

Then comes the amazingly dancey opening beat of, the amazingly titled, I Was Hoping That Our Stardust Was In Some Way Connected, which dissolves into a beautifully synthy, airy, dreamlike atmospheric listen that's just absolutely beautiful. I adore it, and it's just fantastic, a GORGEOUS listen - I really adore it, very hard to describe, but quite an experience, and must definitely be heard - It's beautiful. Then comes the follow-up: ...Like A Band Of Strangers. Running at just over a minute, I'm not sure why this wasn't mixed straight into the previous track, but giving this a listen now, it's got a BEAUTIFUL violin, and makes for a great little interlude, but not enough for a track on it's own for me. Coffin Dodgers opens with an unnerving, kinda eerie and spooky synth, before the beat rolls it's way in. I'm loving the beat, but as for the whole thing? I'm not totally feeling it. Something about the vocals unnerves me a little. Aside from the thoughts that Rabid Men conjures up in my head (:P), the track doesn't do a heap for me. I like the sound and the deep, dark sound, with some AMAZING lyrics, but as for the whole thing? It's just not really doing it for me...It's nice, but not doing a heap for me. Alien is the penultimate track on the disc, and manages to be an uptempo track, without the same dissatisfaction this held for me previously. Although it doesn't match the deep pensive brilliance of the two standouts on this release, it's a catchy enough, Evermore-esque listen that just works rather well, with a great treated vocal and a fairly amazing set of electronic effects!. Final track on the disc is the 6 minute 33 second opus that is Bad Dream. With a guitar sound that is instantly familar, I'm not totally adoring it, but it may well grow on me, something about this listen through the album under whelmed me a little bit, but it's a great one, that I do rather adore. Much love for it!

Something For Everyone

So yes. Contrary to popular belief, I am actually still alive and kicking. I'm also 2-3 weeks out from sitting my final exams before University, and my life is a mass of Accounting, Economics and Law...... So that explains the near death of this website. BUT! - It will return, with a Vengeance, soon, I promise (I couldn't miss my Christmas specials!!) - In the mean time, read on for a real mix of stuff that's out - New videos, tracks, e.t.c. - Read on, hope you enjoy, I most certainly am! Ok, most of it is FIERCE, but hey, there is some other stuff here too :P

Ok, so. It's not my usual thing, BUT there is something undeniably fantastic about this brand new track and video from More Than Conquerors. For their track "Go On, Go On, Get Out" from the new, self titled, 5 track CD/DVD EP on November 15th! Exciting stuff, you can preorder the EP here.

Then comes the seemingly ubiquitous B.o.B. This time teaming up with Rivers Cuomo,who's got an AMAZING song (I'd actually love for B.o.B to become a full-time producer, I've adored all three of his songs' choruses....). Anyway, the hit has become a bit of an Australian hit, and he's now just unleashed Magic on the world, and it may be my favourite of the set so far. A bouncy pop track, and If he's made Bruno Mars a star, I suspect the same can happen to Rivers! Anyway, enjoy!

Ok, so I know some pop fans may move toward calling this one sacrilege (More so for a track a little further down), yet I'm loving on this. The sample is AMAZING! - Nicki and will.i.am both sound fantastic, the track is just a killer, the video also seems rather amazing for more reasons than one, given the fabulous outfit from Nicki, how could it not be?

Darin has just premiered a brand new video for Love-Killer. I'm not going to feature it on the site, it's too "gory" for me, but If you are interested, and it is a great theatric achievement, head on over to the link above.

The track I recently mentioned for it's division that it's caused in the pop community. Personally, I'm actually well and truly in favour of it, and I think that the vocal, particularly Fergie, sound AMAZING! Popping out of nowhere, the Black Eyed Peas have just unleashed their brand new single The Time (The Dirty Bit) on the world, and it's a trancey, dancey, thumping dance stomper, interspersed with a floaty, glittery chorus sampling from the 1987 Dirty Dancing theme, (I've Had) The Time Of My Life, the song is set for release digitally November 9th. Following this, the brand new album "The Beginning", inspired by new technologies and playing around with older tracks, is set for release November 30th! It'll be released in the Standard CD version, a Deluxe CD with 3 bonus tracks (I'll be picking up this one!), a full Vinyl and a 2 CD 20 track hybrid of The Beginning and The Best Of The E.N.D - As well as digitally.

Andre Mieux has been on my radar only recently, but with this debut video for "Off In The Club" - I'm fairly certain he'll hit some more lists. Nothing terribly revolutionary here, some gorgeous synths, a dancey beat, some great choreography, lighting, glittery shimmers. But, I find it really rather hard not to adore this, actually I do rather love it, and I'd love to know your thoughts!

Are you, like me, Loving on KE$HA's brand new single "We R Who We R"? - Good, well, you'll be interested to know that the upcoming re-release/new-album release hybrid thing "Animal + Cannibal" is set for release in Australia on November 19. This is exciting. Also, above is the, admittedly fantastic, cover. My only gripe, which may actually turn out to not be a worry at all, if the left, new part of the cover was just for Cannibal - and was actually a slip-cover, whilst the double-disc case just had the tracklisting for Animal on the exposed side? Do you get what I mean? Anyway, looks gorgeous, going to sound amazing, bring it!

And lastly, something that's absolutely sending me CRAZY in ADORATION! Above is the (Ok, admittedly a little bit violent) brand new video to Kimberley Cole's MASTERPIECE Smack You. It's just a hilarious audio that I do rather adore, with an amazing chorus and lyric. THIS IS SO BRILLIANT! - AN ABSOLUTE MUST WATCH! Sometimes, we all need to get out a little bit of Ghetto Fabulous, no? FIERCE Hair, AMAZING CHOREOGRAPHY, KILLER storyline, AMAZING lyric, just LOVE THE WHOLE THING (and the gorgeous guys don't hurt a bit ;P) ! The whole thing is totally fierce and, as I said, Ghetto fabulous, and paints Kimberley as one HUGE diva, which I just ADORE! - Totally amazing, I hope to do another MASSIVE write-up on this girl very, very soon :D Much adore!

Ok, so, don't get confused like me and come into this expecting a massive Sarah Connor-esque, fierce, R'n'B smackdown - If you do, you may be disappointed. However, you may also find an unexpected gem, as this is a beautiful, R'n'B influenced, melodic set of mid-tempo pop ballads that are actually really rather gorgeous, and all well worth your time.

Ghetto Gloss kicks things off, the title track, and it's a beautiful, bouncing piece that showcases Rachel's BEAUTIFUL vocal, an a fantastic instrumental, with a great hybrid instrumental that blends organic piano and guitars, with a fantastic R'n'B beat, and a great middle-8. Adore the chorus, great lyric, great music, fantastic melody - It's just beautiful - I just adore it. Love Me Good keeps the same style going, and makes for great summery "soundtrack" music. A beautiful hybrid of the sound of the previous track, it's a gorgeous listen, and does showcase Rachel's beautiful vocal. A heavier beat than the previous works nicely too. I do rather adore :D - It's quite pretty. Love Seed is a pretty listen that's a little more organic than the previous, but still makes for a gorgeous listen, I just adore it! A beautiful listen with a pretty vocal, lovely vibe and a rather Colbie Caillat sound that just is beautiful. A gorgeous summery ballad that I just adore :D Closing track Oh My My is kinda similar to the opening track on the disc, with a beautiful vocal, AMAZING melody, gorgeous instrumentation, FANTASTIC beat, and just amazing sound - Rather understatedly epic. I just adore it! - A fantastic listen, I adore, and I think it'd make a great single - Just sayin' - So yeah :D

So, I've written about Fenech-Soler a little bit recently on the site, and with the recent release of their debut album, self-titled, I'm now certain they are destined for BIG BIG things! A synthy, rather cool electro-synth-pop-indie sound that I think would go NUTS in Australia, Fenech-Soler are an amazing band, and this amazing debut is testament to that! - I do HIGHLY recommend that you all give a listen, but stick around and read on for my thoughts!

Battlefields kicks off the album with it's amazing synths, relentless beat and just all around great groove! Managing to hybridise a heavy, machinery sounding audio with an AMAZING soulful, Darren Hayes' esque vocal and melodic groove, I'd explode if this is what Mr. Hayes came back with, Amazing sound that's deserving of a single release - It'd go nuts! I adore the sexy vocal, amazing sound, and the hard electro beat just works so well for me...! ADORE! Backing that up with another amazing track is the killer Lies, with it's retro elements, and slightly more radio friendly vibe, killer drums, amazing synths, Great vibe, ear-worm too, and some KILLER synths - Amazing stuff! Golden Sun is a bit of an interesting one, whilst not quite as instant as the previous two tracks, and even though I'm not 100% sold on it yet, I do honestly believe I'm as entranced by this track as I am by the previous one, with some AMAZING synths, amazing horns, killer vocal that I do rather adore, and just a glittering, killer vibe, just so fantastic! Fantastic, and I can only imagine the video! - Love the breakdown at the end too! Then the track in the video above, the single that got me turned on to the AMAZING band, the anthemic Stop & Stare. With a brilliantly trancey opening, this is just pure perfection! - Gorgeous lyrics, amazing vocal, FANTASTIC synths, and just a killer and absolute gorgeous number that sends me slightly nuts everytime I hear it! Really hard to describe, but it's an absolute barnstorming, throbbing, glittery anthem that sends me NUTS! Ok, so it's kinda hard to live up to that one, but The Great Unknown makes for a fantastic listen - Juggling the intense sound of the first two tracks, and the spacier, synthier sounds of Stop & Stare, this rather anthemic number is brilliant, although it doesn't quite "jolt" me like the previous track - Regardless, great beat, amazing synths, just fantastic - I do adore this! Quite an epic, it's well worth your time!

Demons comes along next, and it's a barnstormingly amazing, blindingly glittery and just brilliant - Built around a MASSIVE AS ALL GET OUT chorus, it's just so fantastic! - Rather anthemic, I can just imagine the video for this one, and I'd LOVE to see this one live :D Simply brilliant. Amazing beat at the end, I just adore this! LA Love is an interesting one, in that I couldn't remember anything of it before now, but listening back to it now - It's actually TOTALLY my track, with an AMAZING beat, brilliant set of electronic beats, just AMAZING bassline, and just KILLER chorus - Another personal favourite from the album, I've just fell deeply in love with this song, so much! Killer track, MUST be a single! - Great vibe, just adore! Again, hard to follow, but Stonebridge throws a bit of a curveball, in that it's based around a piano and it's a softer, mid-tempo, synth backed ballad that really shows off the vocal talents of the guys. A rather melodic number that layers and crescendos rather well, it's a fantastic listen and still growing on me :D Contender reminds me of something The Potbelleez might record, except a little more poppy, with a KILLER beat and just indie vocal that I just adore - This song could be huge, me thinks! - Chorus took a little bit of getting used to, but I do adore it! Album closer is the rather synthy Walk Alone, an interesting track that does work rather brilliantly. I'm not totally crushing hard on it, although the synths are gorgeous, I'm not crushing hard on the track, until the beat comes in and gives it a little bit of substance. It's a big track, very synthy, very brilliant, and I do adore :D - Not my favourite, but good nonetheless!

Ok, so introduced to my by a long time friend of the site, and not the usual sound I cover here, I was a little surprised when I loved this EP as much as I did. The precursor to a full album coming soonish, this EP, the Santa Fe EP from the Eastern Conference Champions makes for a great listen, and although it's a little difficult to describe genre-wise, suffice it to say, it's very good. I'd very much like to know your thoughts, mine are below and you can pick up the EP on iTunes here, Go! - Also, I'd like to mention that I'm only 50 posts away from a rather huge milestone for the site, so yeah :P - Anyway, moving along!

A heavy, shouty, rock number with vocals I'm not really crushing on opens this EP, in the form of Common Sense. I'm not totally loving this. I must admit, it's just not my sound....and just not for me...Luckily though - There is some absolutely AMAZING stuff to come! Then we move straight on into Bloody Bells, hard to describe, but something like a rocked-up indie Coldplay, with some gorgeous electronic elements and just a fantastic vibe, I really rather love it! Gorgeous stuff, and just a fantastic vibe that just makes me smile, with a hint of melancholy, that I just adore! Sideways Walking is another pretty one that carries on that rocked up indie coldplay vibe...Sound strangely familar, this one is just a gorgeous, softer number with the first vocal that I truly adore from the set, and just a great listen, much love! I do just adore it, with a beautiful lyric, gorgeous vocal and just fantastic vibe...Works oh so well :D On Off opens sounding a little like the first track, but then, to my happiness, tones it down a little bit, and even though it's a fairly heavy (in comparison) rock number, it's got a great downbeat mood to it, and even though it doesn't quite hit it's stride until the chorus, when it does, it's actually a fantastic listen - Much adore, with a great sound! Disc closer is the rather melodic, PIANO lead Silo, sounding like an interesting listen, lifted Straight from Coldplay's Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, it's a pretty listen, with a great vocal and a fantastic lyric, A GORGEOUS sound, I just adore it....Something about it kinda draws me in, Loving the beat that sounds so natural yet is a little mixed up, I do adore it! - A heap actually! And A Great end to the EP, I can't wait for the album!

Having been introduced to me by an AMAZING supporter of the site, and having written about her debut UK single a while back now, Caro Emerald's debut album "Songs From The Cutting Room Floor" is well worth a review as well! Released Monday, the album is a sophisticated, classy affair and well worth your time - Give it a listen, I'd love to know your thoughts! - Mine are below :D

That Man kicks things off in the sound symptomatic of the album, hybridising pop/funk/soul and cabaret! Over layed with Caro's gorgeous tones, the listen is quite an enjoyable one, and with such a great middle-8, this track would make one killer single! Just One Dance slows down things a little and is a lot more sensual than the previous and again, would make for a fantastic single, GORGEOUS beat, that's just so slinky and sensual, with a fun and flirty lyric that's just fantastic, and do I really need to mention Caro's fantastic vocal? I'm not totally crushing on the chorus, but it's a great listen over all :D Then comes Riviera Life, an interesting one. I adore the sentiment of the lyrics, but something of the sound, which has a little bit of an island vibe to it, just isn't quite doing it for me. Nice enough chorus, light and summery, but as a whole track, it's just not quite nailing it for me...Nice though! I've mentioned Back It Up before, and I'm sure I will again in future, it's a clever, fun, sophisticated, classy number that makes for quite a great listen! - This I am sure of! Gorgeous instrumental, and killer middle-8 paired with a fantastic vocal? How could you not love it?

Then comes The Other Woman, which opens with a fantastic instrumentation that I just adore, but as for the whole listen, it's not really doing it for me. Nice vocal, but something about the beat just turns me off the track a little bit...Not enough to totally turn me off the track, but I'm not totally adoring it totally just yet.....Nice lyric, nice vocal, but it's just not totally doing it for me! GORGEOUS chorus/middle-8, and it's most certainly growing on me! Absolutely Me comes along next, and although the initial opening indicated a gorgeous dance song, this one actually is a flirty, fun, SEXY cabaret listen that may just be my new theme song! - A gorgeous listen that I just adore, killer beat and just fantastic!. I don't remember a lot of You Don't Love Me, but I will say now, the piano introduction is just gorgeous, and although I'm not loving on the aged effect of the audio, it's an interesting one...I do want to like it, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it just about now...A nice listen, but not perfect for me...Then comes the almost comical sounding Dr. Wanna Do. With a flirty lyric and a fun listen, I do like the track, but I'm not totally loving HARD on the whole track, but it's a fun, light interlude that makes for a great listen!

Stuck follows, and the beat is actually an uptempo fun listen. I could easily hear any of Girls Aloud recording this one, with a gorgeous vocal, fun vibe and just fantastic listen - I do rather adore this and could see it going insane! Gorgeous song! Then comes I Know That He's Mine. With a big piano note to kick it off, however, it doesn't quite match the "I Will Survive" vibe that I was getting from it, instead dissolving into a smoky, distorted sexy throbber, as much as you can get anyway. It's a fun, flirty listen that is just driving me rather insane! - I do adore this listen, it's a great sound! - A Night Like This is a more fun, casino/bar-esque listen with quite a rushing vibe...I'm not sure what my final thoughts on this one are...Whilst I adore the instrumental, I'm not totally adoring the whole track, until it hits that AMAZING chorus, Heartstoppingly beautiful! - Much adore! The album closer is the very Winehouse-esque The Lipstick On His Collar...A heavy beat, I do rather like it, however, I'm not totally sure what I'm feeling about this one, but I'm not sure if I like it...Maybe it'll grow on me, I hope it does, but yeah.. :D
